Spent 3 nights in this hotel and overall it was very good considering some of the reviews I read. 

The location is brilliant. Gate 5 of the harram is a 5 minute walk away. A supermarket is nearby and so are some small shops for snacks/tea etc.

The room itself was decent and the bed was very nice. Comfortable no doubt about it! Bathroom was cramped but mostly clean which is the main thing. Great water pressure. Wi-Fi in the bedroom was very poor and only worked properly in the lobby.

Overall enjoyed the stay and was very happy with the location.

An above average but not excellent hotel.

The rooms are very small, plus the hotel has nothing to do with Rotana hotels, the team are not welcoming and they are not friendly at all, if you show up before 16:00 hours they just not welling to even welcoming you and be ready for the rest of the treatment from bad location, small room ETC, not recommended at allllll

If you do not have many pretensions about the hotel you are staying this is one of the places that you can choose. The price is very reasonable if you make your reservation before you arrive. The biggest advantage is that you can see Al-Masjid an-Nabawi form your window - very close in walking distance.

On our recent trip to Madina with my husband we looked for places to stay near the haram and this hotel appeared by the name of Rotana Al Mesk and had a good rating and decent reviews. However, our actual experience with the place was horrendous. I’ll put down all of the issues in the list below so anyone looking for a clean place can avoid booking this place :
1. The cleanliness of the bathroom is below any given standard. We actually found traces of faeces on the bathroom floor which we then asked the hotel management to get cleaned. They sent a person to clean the floor who reluctantly cleaned the bathroom and left it all wet and slippery .
2. We asked about breakfast at the hotel and the management pretended that they had no idea about the breakfast situation in the premises.
3. The room was dingy and had curtains on a whole wall although there was no window behind the curtain that could be opened.
4. The management was very unhelpful and did not have any information that could be useful for guests.
5. The management does not provide you with any assistance if you want a late checkout because in case you have a flight later in the evening and need to stay in for an hour or two extra .
6. The WiFi doesn’t work in the hotel so we had to get our own data.

I have shared a few pictures to give you an idea about the place but the experience of staying here was worse than what pictures can tell . For me, being in Madina was basically about being close to the haram and I wanted to have a clean room and bathroom so I could remain in a state of cleanliness for prayers but this hotel is so dirty that it’s better to use the washrooms in the mosque area than rely on these for cleanliness.

Close to a small eatery...free toiletries...electric kettle...hair dryer....easy booking and check in by booking.com...
Clean beds....very close to haram...
Good to visit in feb...no wifi...
Neat surroundings...no noise....close to main road...

As a part of hajj,  we chose Al mesk hotel on a go show since the online bookings gave us more price than a go show. 

The hotel provides minimum service, with minimum facilities. No breakfast and no amenities. 

The hotel was a stone throw distance to the entrance gate, but far from the women's gate. If distance is a consideration (especially elderly) please consider booking a hotel near the women's gate. 

Since they provide no meals, we can ask the hotel staff to buy us some food across the road. Mini markets are nearby and it's easy to go. 

The room was tiny,  by far the tiniest room and bathroom I've ever been into on a hotel room,  especially at a rate of $ 110 per night. You can barely move around Nd is quite difficult to have a decent spot even for praying.  (while people might suggest to go to the Mosque for prayer, I'm just trying to give perspective). 

Despite being empty on the day I stay,  the hotel has a very strict rule on checkouts. They cannot give you any late checkout and will constantly annoys you every 5 minutes that the checkout time is about to come. Thanks for the reminder btw!. Any room boy that come and help you with baggage? Not any. No service means no service. 

The only big plus is the location, and while we are not allowed to Complain while performing hajj, doesn't mean a hotel should not serve as a hotel, good service and nice experience. 

I will try to seek another hotel if I can, for another trip. 

Good location no breakfast 

As part of performing the Hajj, one has to pray five times a day, at least eight days in a row, at the Masjid Al Nabwi or the Prophet,s mosque. My wife and I stayed here ten days in october last month. The service was poor. They refuse to talk in any other language than Arabic and during our stay they changed the towels only twice!  The TV in the room did not function and No Internet anywhere! I cannot reccommend this hotel!
