Hotel situated in Ajyad street , building is old but rooms are big and have your needs ( tea coffee small fridge safety box TV ) reception well decorated with many sofa to relax easy access to Haram about 400-500 m , service good food perfect and delicious

Good great hotel

10-15 minute walk away from Haram. Very crowded path from the hotel to Haram. 
The hotel was always crowded and busy. It’s located on the backside of Makkah tower. 
Our stay was pleasant however I will not choose this hotel again because of its location

Booked to stay here for a few nights, arrived around 2pm, check in was 4pm so ended up leaving my luggage whilist i went to perform umrah

Concierge staff are amazing, spoke Hindi/Urdu and were really really helpful and friendly!

The front reception staff themselves spoke very little english so thankfully the concierge staff helped with translation and facilitated check in

Massive Lobby and very busy and comfortable, the hotel itself is beautiful and big and rooms were really nice and clean, bottled water, tea / coffee facilities available nice comfortable bed and bathroom amneties, cant really complain about the room. Lifts can take a bit of time to arrive as its quite busy but apart from that no complaints

Location - This was a bit of a struggle for me, its atleast 10mins walk from the Main Haram, if you find you get tired and exhausted a lot then you are probably better off getting something a bit closer, you have to walk through the main road then along the crowds which can sometimes especially before and after salah be very congested, so to get to the haram in time allow yourself atleast 15mins or so before Adhan time, this was the only downside, for elders especially having to walk back and forth for each prayer if you get tired easily can be really challenging, for this reason is probably wont be staying here again due to the location

Breakfast - was great nice spread and selection hot and cold buffet lovely declicious food, althought the seating area in the morning can get really busy so you may struggle to find a seat or may end up having to share a table, but this is usually first thing in the morning, after breakfast opens

The hotel also has its own small mosque incase you cant make it to the haram in time, although i found a lot of people decided to pray outside on the road

you can pick up taxis outside the hotel and its outside the bus station, behind the clock tower

Lovely hotel would definitely recommend it if location is not an issue for you!

Wifi was a bit hit and miss, first day it did not work then after that it worked fine

Stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. First night I slept and woke up with multiple bed bug bites which progressively became much worse forcing me to go to the hospital for treatment. For staying in a 5 star hotel the last thing on my mind was worrying about hygiene and I am very disappointed that there were bugs which attacked us. This is the worst hotel

Great Stay

I travelled with a group on  a spiritual journy and we stsyed at this hotel for 3 nights. The stay was enjoyable 5 minute walk to the Haram shareef and catered for all our needs. Located centrally with all possible amenities.
Enjoyable experience thanks to all at the hotel for their hospitality.

3 Haram Tour UK

We stayed at Al Shohada from 27 June 2022 - 26 July 2022. Basically we were there for Hajj.The room allocated to us was Room 333 (you get the view of the clock tower). Overall, the service was great. Room service was really good. The cleaning officer, Mr Nazrul came to clean our room daily without fail and Mr Elias came to send our bottled Zam Zam water and mineral water daily. Even when we're not in the room, they would come later. As this was the hajj season, this room was converted into a 4 -bedded room. Despite this, there was still enough space for all of us to move around. bathroom size was good. This hotel is located around 650m from the entrance of Masjidil Haram, and this distance is considered near during Hajj. With this distance, you need to leave at least slightly before or during the first azan of Subuh and it is safe enough to say that you can leave for Asr and Maghrib at least one hour prior to the call of Azan, unless it's on a thursday evening or Friday. The lobby is quite big and there are plenty of seats in the lobby (comfortable sofas and arm chairs) for you to hang around upon coming back from the mosque. Wifi access was also very good. They have quite a number of lifts, which is really important during Hajj and Alhamdulillah we didn't have to wait long for the lift. As for the food, I can't comment much as I didn't have the opportunity to try out their restaurant, as the Hajj travel company that I was with prepared the food for us and we were all using the Bronze Hall (basically this is a dining hall) at level two, which was also well managed. A small musolla is also available at Level Two, for those who are unable to go the mosque. A small pharmacy is also located not far from the hotel, which is also a plus point. Overall, I am very happy with the services provided by this hotel during my Hajj trip this year, Alhamdulillah.

Hajj 2022 / 1443H

This was the cheapest 5 star hotel we could find closest to Masjid Al Haram, the walk was about 10 minutes each way to the Masjid. The hotel and decor is dated but unlike other hotels, the management make obvious effort to maintain the hotel. It's close to some shops and a money exchange but other than that there is not much in Ajyad Street. There is a nice Pakistani restaurant 2 minutes from the hotel and the buffet breakfast offered by the hotel was not so bad and the choices were limited but nevertheless tasty. Concierge were very helpful especially Abdur Rahim. The hotel have their own barbars, so after finishing umrah it's convenient having a barbars within the hotel and they only charge 15SAR. 
The Saptco coach station is conveniently located opposite the hotel which goes to Jeddah for 22SAR and Madinah for 220SAR return.

Dated but well maintained

This hotel is 10 min walk from the haram, but the walk is nice.
The staff were really nice and very helpful in this hotel, the rooms were quite out dated, there is a prayer room in the hotel too.
Also I took adaptors to charge my phone, but that wasn’t needed as they had uk plugs.
I would definitely recommend this place.

Enjoyed my stay

Visited the hotel along with my family in the Haj Season. The team were so helpful and did their best to make our stay a memorable experience. The lobby is huge and every corner had a different atmosphere. It is an ideal location and not far from Haram.
Great thanks goes to Mr. Mohamed Youssef, the Front Office Manager, who was so helpful accommodating our requests.
