The Samoan Outrigger Hotel is the perfect place to stay. Thank you to the amazing hotel team for going above and beyond and making our stay wonderful. Thank you very much.

The Samoan Outrigger Resort was an absolute pleasure to stay with. The staff are super helpful and outgoing and helped to make our stay amazingly wonderful. Thank you very much.

It is an old character building with heaps of character and a swimming pool and very friendly and very helpful staff.

Wouldn’t recommend for families especially if looking to book the traditional Fale. Location of property isn’t far from town so easy to find. I was booked to stay 2 nights but unfortunately only stayed one night given how noisy and uncomfortable the bedding was. Don’t take huge suitcases as the only access to the fales are steep stairs. Budget hotel so you pay for what you get. Very noisy due to local dogs who barked nonstop for hours. Shared bathroom facilities which were quite dated. Simply a bed to rest on and nothing else.

Daily breakfast was nice, you don’t have a choice, everyone gets the same. The showers are often cold in the am or late pm.  Lucky it’s pretty warm there. Rooms are very basic. Staff are absolutely gorgeous.


•	I booked the hotel for July 30-31, paying 1 night’s accommodation ($NZ133) as a deposit. The Hotels.com website said that the booking was fully refundable if cancelled by July 26th.
•	Prior to July 26th, I had to cancel the booking, following which Hotels.com said I would receive a full refund from the hotel. 
•	Because of a delay in receiving the refund, I followed up with both parties whose responses were:
o	Hotels.com said the refund was up to the hotel 
o	The Samoan Outrigger Hotel said they were following Hotels.com policy in charging for and not refunding the deposit, implying that “their hands were tied” by the website policy.


Does not honor cancellation policy 

We had a mixed experience and would prefer other hotels if we return to Apia.If you need a quiet place you might want to consider booking another hotel, the street corner Outrigger is located, is very (very!) busy, even during the night.Breakfast is served (no buffet). When you ask for some more toast with butter and jam, then you get a tiny bit of butter and a teaspoon of jam - it really felt odd, appeared like they ran out of butter and jam.The pool and garden are nice indeed.We did not feel that the staff was going above and beyond: Any question or ask "out of the ordinary hotel related", they just shrugged their shoulders. The 24/7 reception desk sounds good, but when we arrived at the hotel at about 10.30 pm, the receptionist was sleeping on the sofa.For what they offer I believe they are overpriced. You will find better deals.Keep in mind: Private restaurants have closed on Sundays!

The aesthetic of the hotel was my favorite part. The traditional fales were really cool!

Outstanding place to stay Great team owner is very polite.

Our night staff lady on front desk fotu she is outstanding every night she would be so happy to see you always so very polite with her weight in gold.

She would always make sure everyone was ok and happy so pleasant to talk toad were all the crew.

The hotel was so clean and fresh friendly the breakfast were always beautiful and fresh and a real pleasure in the morning.

In the morning there was a young girl called Rachel she was always so busy and polite brought my wife and I coffee with a big smile.

Honestly I can not say enough about this little hotel  usually I would say you get what you pay for but not in this case you get so much more then what you pay for.

I would gladly suggest this hotel to all of my friends and family and I will be returning in my opinion I can not say a bad thing about this place

Little piece of paradise on a paradise island

What a terrific place, away from the hussle and bustle of the town centre. Full if charm and character, with such delightful staff and a really good breakfast, plus an onsite hire car. Lovely garden and pool and easy to relax in the common area.
Great place to chat with other travellers and compare stories. Ideal for families, with a kitchen and supermarket over the road.
