A comfy and peaceful hotel, the size of the rooms and backyard is immensely spacious. If you take a morning walk in the backyard you can watch eagles and crows flying above you The food is tasty and quite varied. Each room has its own balcony. Hot water works well but the WiFi connection is sometimes unreliable. You can go to the local grocery store and Nyamata traditional market around 10 minutes from the hotel. Or you can go to the Nyamata Genocide Memorial Centre kee than half hour from the hotel. Other than that, not much to offer around, just enjoy the surrounding nature and the hotel facilities.

A comfy, safe, spacious and peaceful hotel

This hotel pretends to be a 5 star hotel, when it reality its probably little more than a 1 star establishment. For starters, it is no where near Kigali, but in fact a 50 minute drive outside of the city in the small town of Nyamata. Its also mildewy, doesn't have wifi in the rooms, charges you for little things like a coffee with breakfast, and AC doesn't work. 

To top everything off, I was also charged twice for my stay, and have yet to hear back from the hotel on the matter - which has forced me to now have to go to my credit card company directly. Basically, don't risk staying at this place!

A One Star Hotel Pretending to Be a Five Star Hotel

It's beautiful, quiet and a good out of town hotel. They have airport pick-up and can organize good cocktails for a company. The prices are fair and the rooms are spacious.

If picking a room, insist on West Wing, they are situated next to the meeting room, restaurant and lobby area. 

The manager is also a good guy, I negotiated for my first day breakfast and he agreed to let me pay less. Good place to go.

My stay at the hotel

The rooms have a wonderful size even a standard room is well equipped and spacious enough, I was amazed.
The Balcony views are superb, and the swimming pool is gorgeous 
The food is amazing, with a customer care on point.
Briefly, I was stunned.

Spacious Rooms

The place is located quite some distance from the city but I think it was deliberate. It's a good 'get away'. Quiet and the whole place is just relaxing plus there's an Olympic size swimming pool. The rooms are well cleaned, and have A/C and are also quite spacious. Food is great. This is a good hotel, but there's always room for improvement....especially in service delivery.

We visited the hotel when staying in Nyamata, and the facility is just fantastic.  It is around 40 minutes from Kigali, so maybe not great if you are wanting to be nearer the centre, but for us it was an ideal break from where we were.  The food is great and good value, and the leisure facilities are great too, with a brilliant big swimming pool.

Luxurious

I spent two weeks in this hotel and enjoyed the serenity of the place. It is about 30 - 40 minutes out of Kigali.
 I was on a work trip and we used the hotel for the training, it had all the facilities we needed so that went well. Internet was also good.
The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and it is generally clean. There is an Olympic sized pool which is well maintained. That was always a joy to go to at the end of the day.
Food was okay but the hotel could do with more variety. 

There are paintings all around the hotel which lights up the place and gives it a life of its own.

On the other hand, the cleaners are somewhat negligent. There was a tea stain that was left in my room for at least three days, little things that needed to be organised were barely touched. The bathing gel was not replaced regularly. Luckily soap was provided also! 
The staff are friendly and helpful, but tend to forget sometimes that people might like to sleep in and talk so loudly downstairs (I could hear them from my room) or on the corridor. Their conversations started sometimes as early as 7am.

Overall, I would say that this is a great place to stay.
