Nice warm spacious rooms. Quite a comfortable place to stay with no visible deficiencies. Modern fully equiped bathroom. There's only a slight touch of Soviet/early 90s but it doesn't make a place less appropriate. Staff was welcoming and polite. It is not in the very center but if weather permits, it is a 15 min stroll until the Kremlin. The city is excellently supported by the taxi application. So, in any case, you will be in the center or in the outskirts (to see more beautiful monasteries) in no time. I would say it is value for money and probably one of the most decent places to stay in Vologda.
