Gvardeyskaya Hotel

To be honest, I didn’t expect this hotel to be so good. Our room had a shared bathroom with another room, which was fine, the bathroom was clean and the shower had hot water. The shower was in a separate room to the toilet. Towels and soap were provided. The room was a little tired / old but also very clean. There was a fridge and you could open the windows for fresh air. Breakfast was included in the booking and it was fantastic- I guess a traditional Russian breakfast- it was really nice. The staff who worked in the hotel were very friendly. There is a bus five minutes walk from the hotel and it takes about 20 minutes to get to the city. There is a bar across the road that had great food too, a supermarket was in the building next door. I would stay again if in Kazan. Sorry- no room pics as it wasn’t so exciting, just food pics from the breakfast.
