Bargudzin Tokum hotel in Ust-Barguzin was an incredible experience during our trip in Buryatia. It's a modern place with friendly and helpful staff, incredibly generous space, imposing furniture - but most importantly, it's super clean and boasts all necessary mod cons: wifi, aircon, tv, en suite showers. But what sets this place into the league of its own, is the fact all of the interior walls are made out of cedar wood - which helps you sleep like a baby, the neighbouring cafe with delicious Mongolian and Russian dishes, and an amazing sauna with "Russian banya" style wet steam pool and an indoor cooling swimming pool made out of a large boat - talk about a surprise!
