What was good

I stayed for 3 nights. The service is good. You can order from their menu and the rooms and toilets are decent. Michael (an administrator) speaks fluent English and a great conversationalist and very informative about the things you can do at Baikal. Only drawback was that it’s located around 2km (25min by foot) away from the main attractions and could be a hassle if you wanna walk back and forth several times. But you can rent bicycles if that’s your thing.

What was bad

WiFi - Signal strength was quite bad to the building I stayed. Had to go near the cafe to get some decent signal.

A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel «Gostinitsa LADA Hotel» is located in Khuzhir. This hotel is located in the city center. In the morning, have a cup of coffee while looking at the city from the window.
