The hotel has decent rooms with twin beds. The location is right by the shore of the lake, and the trans-sibirien rail runs behind the house (great picture opportunities for transsib travellers). Yet, in winter there is virtually nothing to do in Slyudanka. The village is trist and uninviting. The room prices for the hotel are reasonable, but the prices for food are much too high. On the other hand the cook makes a brilliant omelette. Maxim speaks very good English and gave us a lift to the station, which was great.
