Great hostess, excellent taste for decoration, impeccably clean. 100% good sleep due to the good quality of the mattress and pillows. Easy to find location, close to the Old Town. I do travel a lot, and sometimes I do find discrepancy between what is advertised and what I find when I get there. Vila Mara is a surprise in a good way, well done :) (no breakfast facilities, but plenty small restaurants nearby)

I got to the place at midnight, had no reservation, but Carmen took me in and was very, very welcoming. Cheered me up and offered me all her support! The room was very nice, super clean! Had modern fixtures, unlike most of the villas. Loved the bathroom and the mattress! Multumesc, Carmen:)

I liked the location of the property - easy to find, really quiet area, and very close to the citadel (about 7 mins on foot). The room was very clean and it had everything we needed for one night (towels, hair dryer etc.). The wi-fi works great. The price was very good in my opinion.

Location is very convenient. Quite close to city center and Sighisoara train station.

Owner will email to ask what time we'll check in 1 day in advance so she'll know when to expecting us. 
We unexpectedly got a friend joining us in a very last minute and was pretty worry if we had space for her to sleep and also the pricing but she assure us that it is fine and the room we book is big enough for 3 person. She quickly gave us extra towel as well.
Room space is huge and bathroom is clean. But do bring some your own amenities as they didn't really had anything in the bathroom. Only saw some toothpaste at the reception.
Quiet surrounding at night so definitely had no problem sleeping.

Checking out quite early in the morning so didn't had any breakfast with them but overall a good stay.


We stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of December, when temperatures were very cold indeed. Inside the hotel, however, we had a very warm welcome. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and well furnished - with really lovely bathrooms. Unfortunately there did not appear to be any breakfast service, but at the price we paid, we could hardly complain. There was also free wifi, which worked. 
The hotel is located around 15 minutes walk from the town centre, on a semi-rural side street which looked quite charming in the snow. We did not see much of the staff, but what we did see was perfectly fine. 
Our only real problem was that the walls were very thin - that, or the other occupants were incredibly noisy. A party of guests seemed to spend the entire night redecorating their room - judging by the constant sound of moving furniture.
