I did not sleep in this hostel, but I heard it was great. The bar in the hostel is very good. There were a lot of great people. The atmosphere was very interesting with cozy attributes and a good bar, where you can buy affordable drinks. The beers were good and the location is perfect.

Great bar

The location is excellent, just a few meters from the city center and it’s a several minutes walk to the train station. Many restaurants and shops nearby. The room was clean and cosy and the owner is super nice and helpful.

Fantastic location and very good service.  Clean place and enjoyable atmosphere in the bar area - organised as there was always someone behind the bar if we needed someone.  i.e. were able to drop off the key in the morning before we left Andy get our 10 lei deposit back.

Nice atmosphere and a good kitchen area for our room of 8, felt very cosy, located directly opposite a supermarket as well. Unfortunately only one of the 4 gas hobs worked and the shower fluctuated a bit in temperature, but really not too bad!

Decent

This hostel is located right on the large square, it has accommodation and a bar. The accommodation is past a locked door from the bar.  It is very simple and has just beds and a kitchen, the guests vary in age.  Geea Bar is a very specific and interesting place.  It has good coffee and an interesting steampunk vibe with the owner's paintings on the wall, half kitsch half antique and cool.  A lot of the people that work there are very sweet and great (Christina is awesome!) although Marius can be kind of cold.  I've loved about 70% of the townies I met at the bar, there are artists and expats, real people, but also old guy creeps and habitual drunks that hang out at the bar because it closes the latest.  On some nights it's special, other nights I want to get away immediately.  And sleep is hard to come by because two nights people sang right outside the bar at 4 am.  If you're part of it, it's interesting.  If you want to sleep it's annoying.

Simple Hostel in Center of Town, With Loud Bar Attached

I stayed in this hostel for 4 hours. I chose this location because it was only 100 meters from the big square where the marathon was starting Sibiu and it was important that after being close to the shower. Employees are very nice. Accommodation is ok and clean. If you are looking for a cheap and clean place for less money, you can turn to this location with confidence

Location: perfect at the big central square
Amenities: spacious, clean and equipped kitchen, with a supermarket on the other side of the street, which is 5 seconds walking. This enables you to make your own breakfast; preferable to having communal hostel breakfasts which are sometimes a leap of faith.
Good security with communal door number-code and free lockers in the dorm.
Sleeping can be interrupted by loud bar visitors downstairs who pop out the bar for a smoke and a loud talk.
I discarded the pillow because it was too large, bending the neck too much (combined with the bottom of the bed sinking hips in too far down).

Great value all in all; I would go again.

Location perfect; would go again

Good location, pretty clean and airy rooms, huge lockers, washing machine. There's a bar on the same floor so it can be a bit loud at night, but this is a hostel after all. One minus: we were given beds in another room than the one we had paid for - so the organization is a bit chaotic.
