Pension La Viorel

We stayed for 2 nights during Artmania rock festival. It is very good located - 5 minutes walk from the train station and 10-15 minutes walk from the old city. The room and bathroom were spotlessly  clean and we had running hot water even after midnight. Because of the festival the hotel was full but we did not have any problem with the noise from the other rooms. The staff was very helpful to give us in a room that had a double bed and an extensible armchair for our baby.  We had some problems due to the very low ceiling because our room was located on the top floor of the building (the attic).

Very good for the money we payed

When we arrived, we waited for 15 min cause the receptionist was talking to a lady whose reservation couldn't find. They managed to get her the rooms she needed (it was for 10 people from what I understood) and when we asked for our reservation (we used booking.com for that) she searched through a lot of papers, we understood that they've lost our reservation. After 10 min she finally gave us a room, it was a room for 3, and not for 2, but at least we got a place to stay. Later we saw 2 people staying in front of the pension with a laptop searching booking.com for a place to stay, cause their reservation was lost too and we got the last room. 
The room was really large and clean, with a nice bathroom, and tv. No internet though. The place is like 7 mins walk from the city centre, and I didn't find it very expensive, but they have a problem with registering reservations

It's an ok place to stay for couple of nights

Located an easy five minute walk from the train station, even dragging luggage. Turn left out of the station, go under the bridge, follow the street until you see the big orange building. Hard to miss.

The room was clean and comfortable with the shower and bathroom located inside the room. there was a refrigerator located just outside the room. 

The staff was helpful when we checked in, providing us with a map of the city and a brochure for the Theater Festival that was going on. A very easy 10 minute walk and you are in the city center.

This was a last minute reservation for us, made the morning we were going to arrive. Due to the Theater Festival, rooms were hard to find, but they said they had space available for all our nights, but that we might need to change rooms, but they would try and keep us in just the one room, which they were successful in doing.

My only complaints would be that on our second night, they had two buses of college age kids check in who proceeded to want to hang out in the hallway just outside of our room, but they did leave when I asked them to move along. The other complaint was that someone did eat some of our food in the fridge, but that was a minor thing, just some cold pizza.

A nice place to stay

This is not a place to stay in Sibiu. The rooms are small, really small, the bathrooms stink (we have been a large group therefore we have occupied few rooms), the staff is unfriendly and shows little professionalism. It seems to have been built without thinking about the clients even for 1 second.

There is no reason to choose this place , you'd definitely find a better place.

Its only asset is the location - you can reach the centre of the city within a 10 minute walking.

Poor and unfriendly

Last week I was forced to spend 4 nights in this location
Usually I stay at Silva when I arrive in town but this time had nothing available due to music concert that was to happen over the weekend.
Everything has been so unpleasant and uncomfortable that would require many words and phrases to suggest that you avoid this place.
I will sum up to 100% support negative comments below; are accurate and true
1. In 4 days of accommodation they have never clean the room! In fact, I do not know if someone had committed so. A receptionist was the one who changed the sheets when someone leave.
2. The personnel I encountered in the the 4 days, including the owner seems specially trained to be as unfriendly and rude as possible.
Does not smile, do not welcome do not know the meaning of the word "thank you"
3. The only thing that separates the location from a striptease club is a simple fence. And with that I think I said everything about what you can experience overnight
The room I stayed in was extremely chilly and humid, only a quarter of the lights worked, the bed small and uncomfortable. Prices, on the other hand, were similar to a 3-4 star accommodation in a hotel with tradition in Sibiu
At departure no receipt was issued, invoice .. nothing. No evidence that I stayed there during that period
TOTALLY RIP OFF !!!
And as I said, a disgrace to everything that means accommodation and tourism in Sibiu. And it is clear that the situation lasts for years without anyone doing something
I advise you honestly stay away from this place!
