Loved to stay there! I was with my kids and had a superior room. The room was very clean, everything well maintained, and very firendly&helpfull staff. Location just perfect: restaurants nearby, a minimarket jut few meters away, pharmacy across the street. For sure I will always return there.

Perfect to stay in Petrosani

Decent hotel in a good position in Petrosani, near supermarket and restaurant. We booked for 2 nights, a superior room at this hotel. It was a decent room, maybe a bit expensive for what it offers as a superior room, but all rooms in Petrosani are expensive and do not offer much. The room was clean, big, but some attention should be payed at details. The breakfast was ok, eggs, salami, cheese, jam, juice etc.
I would recommend this hotel for staying in Petrosani.

Decent hotel

I've only spent one night here, but all I can say is that is a great place. The rooms are elegant and comfortable, the staff is amazing, helping you with a smile. All in all, even though it is a bit expensive, it is really worth. Would definetly recommend!

Review

They have 3 types of rooms: classic, standard and extra. I booked a standard one because I was there before and it was decent. When we went there they tried to offer us a classic one. We refused it and got a standard one. In the room near us there was a teenage party. There were more people than the room capacity, drinking, smoking and listening music all night. We told the receptionist, but they didn't do anything. Some rooms have smoke smell, and it's clear to me now why.

Petrosani is just before the valley that leads to Timisoara. If you get there at night u wake up and find a great drive in the valley of Hategs. Stop at the stone church in census

Fantastic Relations price quality

This is the only hotel I recommend in downtown Petrosani. It is modern, clean, non-smoking. We had a standard room on level 2, which is around EU50 (RON 190) and is spacious enough, with a small fridge and  air con unit, which you normally don't need in Petrosani as it is never too hot in this mountain town. The  budget rooms on level 3 are too small and windowless (they have small windows in the ceiling).  There is also a superior room, which is larger and has a seating sofa.   The bathroom was clean and it has a shower cabin with jets. The bedding was excellent and had pleasant soft fabrics. The bathroom towels however were very rough, may need softener. The hotel is positioned on the main road and it has convenient parking at the front, shared with a supermarket. It is not an especially quiet or picturesque location, but with windows closed you can have a good sleep. Also nearby are the excellent Keops restaurant by the lake with an outdoors swimming pool at the back, a medical centre and the hospital (avoid at all cost as hospitals in Romania are death traps - make sure you have travel insurance that will evacuate you to a Western country in case of serious medical problem).  The hotel is 5 minutes by taxi from the railwaystation and 30 min by taxi from the chair lifts that take you to the ski slopes. Taxis are very cheap! Contrary to expectations, there is no Airport in Petrosani, despite the so called nearby suburb and the vintage airplane on display.  Breakfast was included, buffet style, and although not extremely varied, was adequate and good quality.  The breakfast room  on levek 1 has a beautiful ambience. Reception Staff was friendly polite and helpful, happy to assist with information about road conditions and directions.   Reception however did not have access to supplies, when asked for extra glasses or toiletries in the evening, could not be supplied until the next day.  Kitchen staff also very happy to meet special requirements, eg poached egg insteaf of fried egg, or lettuce. Normally available were yogurt, 2 cheeses, 2 salami or ham, fried eggs, fries sausages, tomatoes, olives, cereal, milk, tea and coffee, juice, etc. On the downside: all rooms are upstairs on levels 2 and 3 and there is no lift, and I carried the heavvy luggage upstairs by myself, staff did not jump to help, so you may need to ask for help if you need, I am sure they will oblige. But this is only a mini hotel, with only one person at reception, which closes (locks) at 11 or 12 pm, make sure to make inquiries /arrangements if you need to enter the hotel late.

Clean and fresh

Nice, fresh and cosy hotel where we spent a week during our trip to Romania. The breakfast was good and varied and inncluded in the price. The staff was very kind and helpful. Can definitely recommend this hotel for anyone going to Petrosani!
