Youthink Hostel

Cluj-Napoca

Very friendly stuff. Very clean hostel. Everything was great. I loved the hot wine they made. I loved the gardens. The tables. And they have pets!!! It was my first time in a hostel and my first solo trip and it was wonderful staying there. I will definitely stay there again!

Beautiful hostel in cluj

The hostel is in a peaceful location, it s a bit of walk from the centre. The beds are fine.

Decent breakfast, with fresh bread and jam. 

However....the owners seemed to use the place as somewhere for their own parties. Some people might like this, and that's fine, but the hostel should make that clear before people book, in the expectation of a good night's sleep. 

Also one staff member was mistreating the cat.

Too noisy

In general, it might be a good hostel, reasonably priced, clean. The location is about 15-minute walk from the central square, uphill. A booked double room was unavailable, so we were given a place in a private dorm instead, that was ok.

The issue was, however, that (possibly because we were one of only a few guests there), the place was much more of a party for the staff, even late into night and so it wasn't a pleasant experience, if you are not a party person. As our stay was during very low season, I can't say what happens when there are more guests, but if you want to use your accommodation as a place to sleep and not a place to party, I advise that you be cautious.

Too much of a party house

I visited the hostel as a teenager together with another group of my age for an educational trip. The experience was indeed unique, cultivating the own house spirit, the free sensation of being in a home-like environment and the occasion to socialise with other guests. 100% recommend to anyone looking for something fresh!

An experience to never forget!

I stayed there for 3 nights and was a great location, but was more like a home than a hostel.  The staff are pleasant and real people and are genuinely interested to help you and get to know you.  I like to travel and was one of my favorite hostels ever!

Amazing and Different type of place to stay!

We had a great stay over new years, 
The staff are very friendly and the location is centrally located with walking distance to the nearest grocery store. 
Breakfast served every morning is generous and fillng, free coffee/tea in the morning. 
Would recommend to anyone visiting cluj and would definitely stay here again next time I pay the city a visit
