What a beautiful place and a fantastic base to travel around to see the local sights. Wonderful room, great food and even more amazing hospitality. Recommended for a few days’ stay or just a wonderful meal. The hosts are wonderful. We attended a wedding there; the banqueting hall was perfect.

Together with a group of 5 friends with families we decided to celebrate the New Year in the dreamy land of Maramures - at Hanul Teilor - having received a very competitive offer from them.

Located in a quiet, picturesque and easy to find location, this hotel fits perfectly with the fairytale landscape, blending the flavour of Maramures traditions, with  comfort and modern amenities from nowadays (floor heating- the rooms were cosy, warm and sparkling  clean) and delicious  traditional meals with elegant modern dishes.
We spent a fabulous holiday; our hosts spoiled us with a very attractive and entertaining program, including a horse cart visit to the oldest wooden church from Romania, traditional winter carols from this region, top it with the elegant New Year party (there attended more than 200 guests) - a night full of joy, dance and good fun. 
At New Year midnight we were delighted with an amazing firework show and the  heart warming Plugusorul(Romanian traditional carol) . 

A big THANK YOU from the heart to our host for exceeding our expectations! They made this experience a truly fabulous one!

We will definitely return in the summer time for a new experience in this piece of Heaven!

We’ve had a fabulous time at Hanul Teilor for 5 days, for 2023 New Year’s Eve ! 
Hanul Teilor is a very beautiful Romanian traditional place, surrounded by spectacular forests, the location is excellent to visit the all the MUST SEE tourists attractions in Maramureș: Săpânța Merry cemetery, Bârsana Monastery, Certeze village, very close to Cavnic Ski slopes and Baia Mare city and airport! 
The interior of the hotel is very tastefully decorated in traditional wooden style, but also bringing modern influences. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the beds are very comfortable, it was very warm inside, despite the cold weather! 
The staff was very welcoming and helpful in all our requirements. They have even included in our schedule a horse charriot ride to the Șurdești Monastery and back.
The food was delicious, served fast and very tasty, displaying not only the traditional Maramureș recipes, but also international food.
For the 2023 New Years Eve party, nearly 200 people were were attending it. The impeccable organisation, the excellent music and atmosphere made this party a big success!

These all and the always welcoming attitude of our guests have made our experience perfect, and we are all very grateful for that! 
We will definitely come back!

This restaurant is top notch. The food was amazing, the staff very polite and happy to help. We had some romanian tradițional food and it was very tasty and the prices are very good. Will come back definitely. 👌

This restaurant is along the highway, probably the only restaurant for a very very very long stretch of highway. 

We were expecting the usual tourist offers. 

We were pleasantly surprised that the food was very hearty, extremely well seasoned and in huge servings. Waiters were very attentive, despite the language barrier. 

Price? Not bad considering the quality of the food. 

Highly recommended. 

We found that place on a road trip to Baia Mare when were just starving and looking out for something good. Well, we found the best. The meat and potatoes were all delicious. But the desert - papanasi - just outdid itself. So we went there twice during our stay.

The restaurant is located in a beautiful area, it is tastefully furnished and cared for privacy. There are several thematic areas, where the architecture of the area can be admired.

The menu is rich in traditional products, cooked well and indulge in portions. The prices are fair and affordable.

A big minus is the length of time the order is honored, so a breakfast can last an hour. However it should be noted that it is worth the wait, which is why I went back to dinner and breakfast.

When we served breakfast, the restaurant was preparing for an event, the attitude of those who deal with the organization was not exactly the right one in relation to the customers who wanted to serve the meal, I would say they were really rude.

The worst service ever. Nobody came to bring us the meniu for 15 min, we needed to grab ourselves the meniu and for another 30 min nobody came to pick up the order. And when we went to complain the owner/manager didn’t give a f..k . We will never return to this place ever again.

Never again

We went there at 2 pm. They said they are not orginized..wr came back 4 hours later. Made an order. After 1 hour the waitress came with dribks and said it will take at least 30 more min. Come on!!!. We left asap.
