The hotel is not technically in Calarasi, but several kilometers to the south, on the shore of Borcea cannal (Danube river), easily reachable by car. On the outside the hotel doesn't look like a much, a late 80s or 90s two stories building which has been painted over several times. On the inside there is a different story, with the exception of the restaurant, the reception and hotel rooms have been redone with a rustic feel to them and a conference room is also available for meetings. Free Wi-Fi is available everywhere in the complex. Payment by credit card is possible. For 35 euros a night we booked a 24sm double room with a large bathroom (bathtub and bidet), sleeping area (bed, night stands, 40" flat screen Philips smart TV with free internet and Netflix) and daytime area (non extandable couch, armchairs, writing desk, coffee table, fridge, free AC), the latter two not completely separated, but appropriate for a family with a small child. The view is nothing to write home about, the balcony is unsafe for small children, the bathroom is without venting and the room required maintenance and dusting. Continental breakfast came included with the room. The hotel has its own private beach, with a bar and music, located less than 50m away, which is cleaned every day, has extra fine sand and rentable beach beds (2 euro/day). The restaurant is opened 16 hours everyday and the prices are good in relation to the size of the servings. We had a pleasant stay and will surely return if we're ever in Calarasi.
