This hostel is more of a cheap hotel - no social atmosphere at all. To be fair, there are some good things about this place, most importantly its location - right in the middle of the old town, close to everything. This also means that at night it gets loud, which I enjoyed at the time, but I can imagine it might be annoying if you want to sleep. The place is very clean and in general looks nice. We stayed in a private room, which was pretty spacious with a big and super comfy bed. But, like I said, no social atmosphere, nowhere to hang out or to meet people.
I have mixed feelings about the staff. When we arrived, the lady at the reception spoke no English at all (!), so we communicated through google translator. She said she didn't have our reservation, even though I showed her the confirmation, but since there was no way to communicate, I gave up (and my deposit was obviously lost). Later we asked if we could do laundry, she said yes but also informed us that we have to buy a detergent (!!), so we gave up again. Luckily in the next days the receptionists (especially the friendly young man) were much nicer and spoke English.
Even though I had a nice stay, I don't think I'll come back, unless it is the only available hostel (which is why I went there anyway).

Average

The hotel is in the centre of the city and you can walk comfortably. Very polite receptionist.

Adaptation Needs to Be Done

If you visit Bucharest to party is the perfect place!
The hostel is clean even though they do not clean the rooms daily (it is a hostel anyway).
They provide free water and hot water.
The guy in the reception is SUPER helpful.
No soap in the shower.
The noise was very annoying because the hostel is just above the old town bar place but the windows isolate most of it.
My main problem was the non existent curtains so I was waking up at 6 o'clock.. Please fix that and you definitely deserve 1 more star..
It was the cheapest we could find 2 weeks before our arrival and being near the centre of the city.
Be sure you have cash Lei or Euros because the credit card machine might not be working..

Party spot

Too much light from windows. Clean. Fantastic stuff very helpful. Inside Bucharest old town clubland (either you like it if you are in Bucharest for partying or not). Very noisy area but the windows close well. Safe area.

Good position and cheap

We were transferred from another hostel here and had to pay more here than we had booked. The problem here was that we didn't have the keys to the rooms. We were all robbed of adapters and a jacket. After repeated inquiries we got one back from the owner's drawer. We had an Italian group in this hostel in another room. They also had their stuff stolen. I assume the staff is stealing. One of us has to sleep on a mattress by the side of the toilet. Don't do that to yourself!

Disaster

I stayed at vogue hostel for 10 days, sharing a dorm room with fellow travellers, just chilling in bucharest with no big plans. The location is absolutely perfect for those who wish to immerse themselves in the culture of bucharest's historic old town - right by some of the best bars, cafes, monuments, restaurants etc. All people in the team were very friendly to me and there was always someone available when help was needed, 24 hours around the clock. The team speaks good english. The shared kitchen and the bathrooms (of which there are plenty) all have a well-functioning basic infrastructure. There is also a tv in the shared kitchen. Most importantly, vogue pays VERY great attention to cleanliness and hygiene!  
What I like most is that due to its location, you can frequently pop in and out at vogue in between partying/exploring bucharest to have a quick rest - an advantage not to be underestimated. I'll be back! Thank you! 

A perfect choice

Hostel exactly in the center of Lepiscani (bucharest's festive and young neighborhood). The room is very clean and essential, common bathrooms not exactly clean but acceptable.

Too much noise

Even with the windows closed, the music of the surrounding bars was heard in the room as if it were inside the club itself.We went out in the summer, and it was quite hot (they didn't have air conditioning).The location and the price is good, but it doesn't make up for anything.

A nightclub in your room!!!!

Once at the reception we were met by a young boy who told us that the card payment device didn't work, a first inconvenience, we finally managed to fix it and paid for it. We accompanied him to our room, which was taken up by the portal where there was more than a window of a route covered with garbage bags (outside was -15 °C). The room had nothing to do with what we were supposed to have reserved, so we said it and the best we could offer was a symbolic fountain.

If you are in time, cancel your reservation.

They were almost annoyed by a mistake they made and we had it. We slept in the double and the next day they moved us to a four-bedroom with an outdoor bathroom. The hostel was under renovation so the kitchen wasn't available. The staff was kind enough. The central location but very noisy because of this (night venues everywhere). The entrance to the building is uncomfortable, dirty stairs, elevator not working, broken bottles in the basement downstairs that have never been on the ground floor in three days.
