Although there were many tables available, the waitress curtly informed us we couldn’t order because “everyone’s busy.” She acted as if she was doing us a huge favor letting us buy drinks, which showed up in dirty glasses and went undranken. When we asked for the check to leave she again acted as if she was doing us a huge favor by offering us the opportunity to order. It was absurd. We left and went somewhere that our business wasn’t a nuisance.

Rude and unsanitary

Everything was great. The stuff is kind and funny, they kindly support to have the food in rooms, since the pandemic is allow us only on terraces and it was raining. Food is also great, basic but really good. The rooms are much then 2 stars. I would give it 4 stars for sure:). And of course 10 for the position of the hotel,we had an amazing view to the mountain, as the picture attached.

Thankful

This hotel is clean , cozy and very close to ski resort. We stayed at 3rd floor and it was a bit cold in the room.the staff is very friendly and heplful.  Breakfast not included but not expensive, and tasty. I recommend this place!

Good place to stay

Reasonable sized room with small balcony looking to chairlift and nearby wooded hills. Small bar adjacent to the front entrance, inexpensive beer. Some seating outside. The restaurant is just across the small hallway from the bar. Good plentiful food. Very quiet village and just 2 minutes walk to the chair lift.

Quiet friendly Inn

The personnel : very impolite.
Services : as in the comunist time.
Furniture : uncomfortable bed.
Food : horrible.
Christmas party : zero. It was organized on the next day...
Advice : if you want to ski or visit the beautiful environment, don't go to Hotel Cerbul. 
Our group (30 members) had spent a horrible Christmas.



A horrible Christmas 

Found the hotel right next to the chairlift in the tourist complex area outside the town. For 75 RON you get a great room for one person. Clean, modern enough, good bathroom, nice views. The receptionist was not overly friendly but didn't bite :)

I agree with the reviewers that the food at dinner time is not great... though breakfast was good enough.

We walked to the waterfall and lake... challenging but doable....

Very decent hotel for a very low price

Though located in a beautiful area, the staff does not know anything about customer service, being rude and offensive especially when it comes to food. Being asked to move your silverware if you want to sit at another table, or to go find salt and pepper on other tables or being overpriced for really small portions were things that made our stay really bad and we are sure we are not coming back here. It was a terrible experience.

Terrible

The Cerbul used to be the hotel of choice for touring groups going from Bukovina to Maramureș. Meanwhile many more characterful and newer guesthouses have sprung around and the Cerbul has not seen much refurbishment to keep up pace. This is how we found a room around Christmas on a very short notice and at a rather low price, before a Rodna climb. The room was clean, but the furniture was rather aging, and so was the main feeling down in the lobby. On the other hand, the cheerful front desk lady was welcoming.

Fair hotel located out of the rather ugly Borșa Town, with good access to Horses' Falls
