Words can’t begin to express the wonderful experience I had here. As this was a business trip the whole time felt like this was a much needed getaway. As I like vintage stays this was right up my alley so much history and  culture, So much to explore and the mini balcony great touch, I am definitely coming back here, not far from beach either. Viva  🇵🇷

Very old building in the heart of old San Juan. Place was exactly as pictures showed. Clean, well equipped. Super hot water. Had towels, bedding, shampoo and soap. The place was perfect for us. The host was extremely helpful and replied to messages immediately. Self check-in and check-out was very easy. Noisy at night, yes, but we knew that. It was actually entertaining sitting on the balcony watching the bar scene action across the street from us. Would definitely stay here again.

We tend to be last minute people, they were so flexible. Located in center of where we wanted to be.

Wonderful and excellent place.   It’s in the heart of all things to do, and close to many culinary places to experience. And the hiking, walking around is superb, if you enjoy walking uphill and downhill.   I’ve read reviews about the noise levels. It’s the heart of party central Old San Juan: it’s music, not noise.  Trotamundos is walking distance to El Morro, El Parque de las Palomas (pigeon park) historic arquiture, and lots of history about Puerto Rico.  Trotamundos is a place I will stay at every time I visit Old San Juan, as long as they have all the nights available that I need.   Very clean room, mini fridge, small window in the room I booked, nice size bathroom and shower BUT the water presser is amazing,  my showers were longer than take at home because the water pressure was super strong, perfect temperature, and PERFECT! I rate Trotamundos 10 on a scale of 0-10.  Highly recommend.

Is my second time staying in this cute place and im happy about it. Walkable and a lot of dining options close to the property. Is my second time in one week and noise was not an issue, they keep you updated with all kind of information for you to be ready for a steady vacation. Small but nice rooms... good for an adventurous person or couple. Highly recommend

We loved the location of Trotamundos. The host was very responsive and clear with their check in/check out instructions. We recommend looking at the photos and reading the descriptions - as stated, the neighborhood is quite a happening scene until at least 1am. Ear plugs are available in the rooms and were much appreciated. Overall, great for our needs.

Love this place, is not the actual hotel room but works for what i need. Sleep, shower and comfy room. Small fridge, nice ambient music and air conditioner. No staff in property but the management make sure you receive all the instructions and equipment for your accommodation. Is very close the Sansebastian street and el Toten... A lot of dining and drink options around. Some reviews mentioned the noise, it was not my case but they provide earplugs in case you hear music noise. Love it... I will back today Sunday for 2 more days. Highly recommend

A wise man once said, READ THE DESCRIPTION. This is a basic hotel in a very old building. It is not for everyone. Pros:very clean, great location with lots of dining and drinks options, good air conditioning, communicative host Cons: the neighborhood is very loud. Music late into the night, steep stairs to second floor.

We loved staying in Old San Juan where it’s so convenient to walk and not have to find parking everyday, and this place made it easy. However it’s loud at night because of the nearby bars/clubs-however Trotomundos knows this and provides earplugs, which is somewhat helpful and definitely thoughtful! There were lots of items we could use in the hallway and we left some for others to use as well…things like toiletries, steamer, blow dryer, disposable containers, etc. The balcony is very nice and we loved using it. The place is super cutely decorated and has great vibes. Definitely recommend staying here!

This provided a good, reasonably priced option for a last minute search in Old San Juan.  The responsiveness and communication was excellent, including great suggestions for eating, and the location was very convenient. The reasons I am not giving it 5 stars are that I did not realize the room did not have a window (possibly in the listing that I missed and possibly helpful for noise, which was not an issue at all, given the location could be loud at busy times) and the bathroom was not ideal: suggesting not flushing toilet paper because of plumbing could cause odors and the overall layout of the bathroom was not very good (no great surfaces to put anything on,...)
