Hotel Areias Claras

Six of us visited and were thrilled to discover that this hotel is located about 100 feet from the ocean! We enjoyed a 2-night stay and there was plenty of free street parking when we visited mid-July (although the booking site we used stated there was a €5 fee) and each couple was pleased with their spacious, clean room and bathroom. The included breakfast was very good and offered many different drinks, cereals, pastries, meats, and cheeses. We all especially enjoyed the fresh orange juice! We also ended up eating at the hotel for dinner the first night after walking around town and comparing other restaurants' offerings. We were all extremely happy with this decision and (in hindsight) wished we had chosen to eat here our second night. Four of us had the "arroz de marisco" and 2 of us had the "polvo a lagareiro"- all delectable! The staff were all lovely, attentive, polite, and hard-working.
