Hidden amidst textile plants in an industrial area near Guimarães (a World Heritage site), this spectacular villa has only four bedrooms and a gourmet restaurant (Le Garage). It is exquisitely decorated with modern and antique furniture and pictures, linen is top quality and staff is highly trained. It is set in a park with a tennis court and saltwater swimming pool, as well as a sauna. Expect to be pampered by Rita & José Luiz, who manage the property, and feel tempted not to leave the premises as meals at Le Garage are unforgettable, as the kitchen delivers a perfect menu signed by Michelin-starred chef Rui Paulo (try it with wine-pairing to experiment an assortment of different wines from different regions of Portugal, expertly introduced by Dimitriu, a young and brilliant sommelier).
