We were traveling in a group and stayed in the Home Geres Hostel. The rooms were nice and clean and our room (dorm with 2 bunk beds) had it's own nice and clean bathroom! The staff was very helpful. However, as we were traveling in a big group, we had a few problems, as in we couldn't cook and have a warm shower at the same time without the electricity going down! We figured out how to go around this (cook with lower heat) and everything was fine. Our room also lacked a heater, but in the end we didn't need one nor extra blankets, since the blankets on the bed were really warm and cozy! One of the most comfortable blankets I've ever had in a hostel! In the Morning the breakfast was really good. Many people on our group didn't like the hostel, but I guess they mostly stay in hotels. I liked the hostel and will recommend it to anyone going on a trip to Gerês.
