71 reviewsAgriturismo Vinha do Gaio is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature in the Algarve. The farmer who welcomed us was very friendly and clearly proud of the produce his farm provides. My boyfriend and I stayed in a brand new annex to the farm, in a room with a terrace overlooking the country side. From our terrace we could see Portimão and the sea in the distance. We spent a lovely evening with a bottle of wine and some snacks on that terrace looking at the colors of the sunset and the flickering lights of Portimão. We loved the breakfast with fruit freshly picked from the garden. Some bread, charcuterie and cheese, a glass of fresh orange juice and home made yogurt were all we needed. The farmer always brought something extra from his farm for us to taste: small bananas, passion fruit and blue (!) tomatoes. Lovely! The room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was nice also. Loved the old fashioned vibe of the bathroom. Worth mentioning: this is the first place we stayed in that offered different bins for recycling. Vinha do Gaio clearly is a eco-conscious place. If you're looking for a place to relax and leave your stressful job behind you for a few days, this is it.
