Complexo Hoteleiro em Santana

I've been in this hotel for 3 nights, with my wife, and we loved almost every detail in the hotel! ROOM: It was a big room, with one double bed and 2 sofas (each one with an extra bed), and a reasonable bathroom (with bathtub). It also had a small terrace with 2 beach chairs on it. The TV was basic but had more than 30 channels (TV Cabo). Some rooms (not ours, but got this information during a small chat with another couple, in the Jacuzzi) also have a kitchen with all the utensils you need to prepare your meal. The room was very clean and I couldn’t find anything wrong there during our short stay. The nights were quiet and comfortable. SPA & GYM: It has an interior swimming pool with around 15m and 3 lanes, with the water at 31º C. The Jacuzzi is small (maximum of 4 ppl in it, at the same time) but very pleasant and fulfilled our needs. The hotel also has sauna and turkish bath (which was not working during our stay). We tried the Sauna twice and loved it. The Gym is small, with 5 or 6 fitness equipments and another one for strength training. BREAKFAST: Buffet Style, with croissants (nham nham), bread, cheese, ham, cookies, cereals, juice (not natural => in my opinion they should improve it!) milk, coffee, fruit, etc. STAFF: The staff was nice and really cared about all our needs. PARKING: Many parking spots in the hotel’s park and many more around the hotel location. LOCATION: The hotel is in Leça do Balio, a city about 8km away from the center of Porto (Oporto), therefore you better have a car, if you want to explore the surrounding cities (Oporto, Matosinhos, Maia, etc). In Leça do Balio, at walking distance (about 800m), you can find the Monastery of Leça do Balio, which we recommend to visit. Near the Monastery you have a snackbar, a kid’s park, a park with gym equipment, etc. Next time we visit a city in Oporto region we will stay here again, for sure!
