38 reviewsThis is the third time we have been here,the hotel rooms are really great. We upgraded to junior suite with balcony and pool view. The room is huge with jacuzzi bath, multi spray shower two wash basins and bidet . We have 3 small private balconies and this makes our stay even better this time . There are several pools to use( sea water) A Spar room and steam rooms . Small shops as well Breakfast is a buffet style and there is plenty of it and it suits all tastes ( plus having a glass of bubbly in the morning is fine ) There are pool bars and a pub bar attached to the hotel. Easy to get a meal at these , an evening bar and restaurant The Hotel is situated about fifteen minutes from Funchal a very easy walk . There are so many restaurants and places to eat it makes it easy to find something . This is a group of hotels and there are quite a few in the area which are Pestana hotels . If they are as good as this one you cannot go wrong Staff are very friendly and helpful. If the weather is good you will have a fab time here and lots of things to do This hotel does seem to have an older generation in it but that suits us fine as it’s a relaxing holiday that we want 5 stars all the way.
