B&B located a short walk from Piazza Rossio, tram, bus and subway stops. Owner very kind and very generous, recommended us several places to visit and places to eat. Near the accommodation there are many restaurants, pubs and bars. Room certainly small, but very cozy, with a beautiful view of the square.

Top position

Nice checkered house next to the supermarket (must go in) with two very nice hosts. In an apartment snug and individually decorated rooms with a small bathroom each. Rather simple.. with nice details, well done. A large living room with breakfast bookable and a small kitchen if you want to do something yourself. Completely sufficient for 2 or 3 nights. Unbeatable: all public transport, 12/15, airport tram, subway, in the radius of 500m tram 28, train station. There From start well on foot. Sleep well.. only the tram quiets around the corners... Saturday night sleepers. For this the two tenants answer all questions.

Location... location... location

It's a small three-room B&B, well located on the Praca da Figueira, a little noisy given its situation but we didn't mind.

A whole week was great in this beautiful apartment. the truth is that everything was very clean and orderly. the guys who carry the floor are great, very kind, and help you in everything. the breakfast is very complete, very varied. i recommend 100 x 100.

Hostesses at Eurovision


A Toca Do Polvo is run by 2 great guys who were very welcoming. We had very heavy bags but we were helped up to the third floor with the cases. Very quirky and interesting rooms and couldn't be better positioned to see everything Lisbon has to offer. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, as long as you are fine with climbing the stairs (no elevators).
We were warned in advance that there is a 20 euro fee if arrival after 10.00pm which we had to pay as our TAP flight was half hour late. (I believe TAP often have short delays)

Weekend stopover

A B&B casalingo in the beautiful Piazza Figueira, central and perfect to move to discover Lisbon. Beautiful view of the heights from the hall, which has a 'a bit backwards' and cozy atmosphere. Very kind owners... know how to give perfect directions for excursions and restaurants. I don't give any more points to this b&b because: the hallway leading to the rooms has a very strong smell of naphthaline, the room had some very unclean corners on the wooden floor and even the blanket was not very clean, and finally the bathroom was really too narrow... difficult not to wet in showering. Being out all day, these are issues that have not much to offer, but it is right not to create signs towards future guests.

Perfect location to visit the city

This B&B is in a great location right on Praca de Figueira with shops, restaurants and the metro all on the doorstep. The room we had was basic but clean and functional. Bed was firm but very comfortable.  The only downside was the small bathroom, there wasn’t much room to move in it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We asked for an iron the room and this was no problem at all. The kitchen was clean and was really useful. We didn’t have breakfast here so can’t comment on that. Overall it’s great budget accommodation in a really good location. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful B&B made in an apartment located very close to the central square of Rossio. Metro station, bus and tram stop for Belem and railway station in the immediate vicinity.

Strategic policy

This location is great for sightseeing close to all main sites and restaurants transportation, the hosts are very welcoming and helpful, the apartment is a typical old Portuguese style.

 Minus point it is up 3 flights of steep stairs, so it is not good for people with mobility problems, there is no lift.....don’t bring a big suitcase or you will really struggle with the access. A backpack or hand luggage is better.

There is a kitchen to make drinks and light snacks, there is WiFi and a sitting room where they leave fresh fruit. Breakfast is NOT included in the price....there are plenty of bakeries/ cafes nearby. There is a supermarket two doors down, it has a small cafe where you can get light meals and drinks.( Standing up)
The hosts do not live at the premises but around the corner, they do give you a card with all their contact information, phone number etc.
Our only quibble was the hosts do not clean the room, or make the bed during the stay, we were ok with this but we would have expected the bed made. Apart from one or two minus points, it was a good place to stay. 

The trams run late into the night and you are aware of them in the room, when trying to sleep.
We took the trams, buses, metro everywhere. You buy a ticket at the metro vending machine for a fixed price that lasts 24 hours, this entitles you to use all public transport. 

Please be aware that pickpockets operate on the trams, buses, metro and at all the tourist sites, they are rife. So leave all your good watches, jewellery at home ( or locked away in the room) invest in a money belt. We saw a couple operating at a tourist site and a kindly local was shouting ‘pickpockets’ at the top of his voice....to warn us. 

Lisbon is a beautiful city.....well worth visiting.......catch the number 15 tram out to the Belem Tower ( 30 mins away) very beautiful, walk along the esplanade by the water....lovely sights to view.

We stayed at this lovely guesthouse in April for 4 nights, and we felt more like home here.  Location is one of the biggest advantages and Yann and Taib are very kind and helpful. Rooms are cosy and well decorated. There is a big shared living room and a nice , clean kitchen where you can cook if you want.
