The Bairro Alto is a very mixed and lively neighbourhood.  The Suites are located at the top end of the Barrio Alto, in a narrow street (Rua da Rosa), with a discreet door, so a challenge to find for the new arrivals. 
The street comes alive at sunset, but the excellent soundproofing on the windows leads to a quiet night. 
Service is a light touch but very helpful and friendly.  The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom big enough.

Perfect location

The apartment was beautifully decorated, spacoius an clean. The facilities were vert good. The area was close to San Bento station and there was a good selection of bars and eateries nearby. Elisabeta who showed us the appartment was very helpful marking the main attractions on a map.

Good apartment

We spent a couple of weeks here, everything went very well, the location is ideal, lots of restaurants and bars nearby, a metro station not far away.

That's very nice.

I had a very pleasant stay at the Bairro Alto suites and it was everything I needed or wanted at a very good price.  It dosen't look much from the outside but behind the big solid door things change.  We asked and got the top floor, and our room was lovely.  Certainly not a five star hotel, but very clean, safe, secure and comfortable.  A large double bed, an ensuite bathroom, a 44" tv, a kettle provided, very central, but very quiet. on a bus route, lots of eateries near by, a mad "lounge/bar" just around the corner, pleasant and helpful staff, always a chat and advise if you need it. There is a coffee shop on the corner which is reasonable, comfortable and friendly and they bake their own array of cakes and tarts.  Great coffee too. Highly recommend Bairro Alto suites.  No unwanted fanciness just what I like. No paying for facilities I won't use as I'm out all day discovering the city.

Two nights in Lisbon

The apartment is in the center of a lively evening area in Barrio Alto.  During the day, the area is relatively quiet.  At night it comes alive.  We had a corner apartment with a small balcony overlooking the street scene.  The noise is not an issue given the quality of the windows and the wooden shutters.  The rooms are more than adequate.  The shower fine.  The kitchen we did not use but would have easily served our needs.  

We could easily walk to wherever we wanted to go, catch a bus, shop, find wonderful restaurants or hear music.

There is no elevator.  We were told our room was on the second floor.  That actually meant that our room was on the second floor above the first floor.  Carrying luggage up 60 steps was a challenge but thankfully we only had to do that once and there was some assistance provided.  

The owners own the breakfast restaurant below the apartments and offer light breakfast options.

Sweet Location

Rather than a hotel, we were looking for an apartment, preferably close to restaurants and bars to go out quietly in the evening. The Alto neighborhood is the ideal neighborhood for this! It's impressive to see so many people in the evening in these little alleys, it's very festive until 2 or 3 in the morning, thankfully the apartment is well insulated (double glazing), take carefully the balls Quies in case... The apartment was very nice, comfortable little rooms, well equipped kitchen. A feeling of being at home. The good weather allowed us to just take the junk on the small terrace! What a happy hour! It would take 2 games of keys for those who differed pd vadida. Margarida, because the owner of the apartment was very kind and kind and had very good advice to let us go back to the last 15 hours of our last day.

Ideally located

Very nice apartment, very well equipped and the owner is great. She gave us good plans or going out and offered us a bottle of wine when we dined at her restaurant (creperie du Bairro) downstairs in the building. Very clean apartment, housekeeping done every day, very nice decoration and above all HYPER well placed! The street is full of bars so it's very nice but noisy Friday night and Saturday night. I really recommend this address or the owners are very arranged.

A lot of charm

we are a spanish couple who rented the penthouse a week ago just for a weekend,  it was very confortable, and the owner made us feel very welcome when we arrived. I would recomend this place to any that I know and want to go to Lisbon.

Proper Location and super clean.

All the apartments are located in one of the most exciting districts of the city: Bairro Alto. At night there is nothing to be mocked about, even if you don't have to get up and have some problems, but if you want to get up yourself or get out of the way. There are numerous bars, restaurants and clubs all over the narrow streets. From the accommodation, you can reach them in a few steps. Every apartment was clean and tidy on our arrival. It is stylish and elegantly furnished. There is nothing to be mocked about the facilities, even if you don't have to get up and have some difficulties, but if you want to get up and go, or get out of the way. This is only possible under running water.
