75 reviewsBairro Alto is an extremely busy and lively area filled with bars, so if you’re looking for a quiet family area, I probably wouldn’t recommend. However for a group of 7 young girls, this area was perfect for us. Two of the girls and myself had a corner room with two balconys overlooking one of the streets. The area is noisy until the early hours of the morning and there is a busy bar directly outside the hotel entrance. However when the doors and windows are closed you cannot hear a thing, so we all slept perfectly. The room was spacious and clean, the staff are extremely friendly and the kitchen is fully furnished with everything you need. We had one double bed and one camp like bed which was still really comfy. The area is perfectly located, perfect walking distance from Alfama and the city centre, surrounded with bars/restaurants and shops and right next to the famous Lisbon trams. Check in is all done on a computer like machine which we originally struggled with but there is a phone to call and speak to someone to assist. They also allowed us to keep our luggage in the storage area before check in and after check out to save us carrying our bags around. Worth the money 100% and would deffo stay here again.
