Fantastic B&B, right next to the perfect beach -- in an unspoilt tiny hamlet of holiday homes and fish restaurants. Not the easiest place to get to, but that is probably why Portinho da Arrabida has stayed the way it was -- also because it is in a nature reserve. A lovely 200-year-old house with ensuite rooms with traditional decor. Sea views, friendly, helpful host, great continental breakfasts on the patio. Great that there are no shops, but also means you have to remember to bring what you need -- such as sunscreen (I forgot). Have a peaceful time in the breathtaking natural beauty, finding your way through the wild rosemary and olive trees to neighbouring beaches.
