Stayed here for 4 nights. Did yoga each morning followed by a surf lesson. The host Laura has done an excellent job creating a calming, comfortable and COOL vibe in the house. There's lounge areas for reading / working (great internet speed) and the guests she attracts are all there to enjoy adventure sports. Very like minded group of people to meet and enjoy the daily breakfast with. My partner and I stayed in the private room which was spacious and quiet.

It's almost brand new and has only been up and running since February 2015. Value for money plus plus. The room and the toilet were spacious and well equipped. Lots of wardrobe space! Its close to the beach, the dunes, close to a bus route that will take you to a world heritage site, and taxis are cheap! Other than the cockerel in the plum tree next door which is an obvious insomniac I had no complaints. He sort of adds to the charm actually. Lots of places to eat in close by. The hostess was more than kindness - I went for a family wedding and she drove me all round town looking for a corsage to match my clothes and took me to a delightful hairdresser! Thats on top of tips on what to do what to see where to eat etc., Thanks Leonore for that - You really went out of your way. Unhesitatingly I'd do it again.  

So, been Portugal few times before always good weather, beaches, food, wine,  very reasonable prices and lovely people. Stayed in a new place, Guincho Guest House in a village by Cascais (where Portuguese royalty stays I may add) what can I say... Absolutely Amazing! 

Friendly, immaculately presented and well situated for an exceptional break of a few days or few weeks that I had.
 Leonor the owner does everything you could want to ensure that you enjoy your time there,
 breakfast is better then all other places I been in Europe, pool is cleaned daily and brand new, its situated a short stroll to a few beaches, most notably world famous Guincho 
ideal for surfing and best kitesurfing (note however if its windy you better be a good swimmer as waves are big.)
Saying that, lots of helpful locals and lifeguards are there and even help apply sunscreen for free-sweet!)  horse riding 5mins away, quad bikes and more on doorstep! Areia is a lovely village a bus for 2.15€ or taxi 9€ from Cascais perfect as its realllly!!! quiet!!! much better than the more expensive hotels by sea which non other than our prime minister Mr Cam stayed in so much to see and do, if your thinking of going to Portugal I would strongly recommend staying here. I've already booked my next holiday there and going to take my bike as its a superb way to get around and experience the wonderful scenery of Portugal.
Top eats- Tasca-tosca snacks, soup and very good wine best appreciated on roof terrace to see sunsets over Sintra/mountains and epic cloud displays, Ateska-a-Areia proper portugese food, 
not forgetting a local supermarket and few other places all open daily with daily menus.

I felt home at this very nice Guest House. Very near the fantastic Guincho Beach and just outside Cascais, 30 min from Lisbon, you are in the best place to enjoy a peacefl holiday and near enough for all the ammusement you like. By the way, fabulous breakfast!

We stayed for 2 nights in aug. 2015. It's nice to be in a guesthouse after some days in a hotel. You can sit in a nice living room, make use of the excellent kitchen. The have a nice garden with a swimming pool. The guest house is fully booked in the weekend, but on the other days it's really quiet. The wifi internet is working excellent. The bathroom is new, but a bit to small. The house is 1,7km from the guincho beach. The neighboors have a rooster, that is not ok.
