Apartamentos Vitória Hotel

Locations need to be assessed against their official rating and I have given the rating based on this. I had to stay in Faro because my wife was taken to Faro hospital where she stayed for 10 days, 3 of them in intensive care. I had to find accommodation at short notice and am glad I chose these apartments. Before and after Evelyn got out the owners/staff were fantastic in providing assistance e.g. offered to contact a pharmacy to ensure she was taking the right dosage of tablets. All rooms in the apartment were large, clean, well equipped with plenty of storage space. At first glance parts the area in which it is situated may seem slightly run down by UK standards but it is in a great location where a 5/10 minute walk takes you the main bar/restaurant/shopping areas. A benefit of this is that the area is quiet and your sleep is not interrupted by late night celebrations. I would recommend getting a map of the area as on my first day got slightly lost. We had an apartment on the third floor at the rear of the block where, if interested, you could watch numerous storks flying to nests to feed chicks. Again I would like to thank the staff for making a stressful situation less so and would recommend these apartments for comfort and value. PS - thought the public hospital care and treatment were much better than I have seen in the UK.
