Madeline and i had the privledge of staying at Degebe House last week. Susana, our host, was just first class and her property is a great place to stay. The property has more of a 'home stay' feel rather than a regular hotel. Our room, the common lounge room, where we had breakfast, pool and bar made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for Susana. Madeline is a celiac. Susana ensured she had gluten free bread for breakfast. Brilliant! We left with a gift of home made tomato jam which we are enjoying as we travel on in Portugal. We absolutely recommend choosing to stay in Degebe House when visiting Evora. Thank you Susana.
