Some of the reviews I have seen here make absolutely no sense to me, considering my own experience. The whole property is divided in individual studios/apartments or rooms. There are a few rules and that is quite clear from the get go, as they have it written in at least 4 languages. The property does not provide food so there is no coffee or sugar or olive oil, etc, and that information is available before you make any reservation. So, it puzzles me that people would expect to have that. At any rate, there are two small supermarkets nearby where you can get whatever you need. I chose the studio with terrace option, as I was travelling by myself. That is an excellent option. If you are travelling with someone, choose another option, unless privacy is not an issue. The terrace is completely isolated from the rest of the property and there is enough sun for a great breakfast outside. In the afternoon, there is another terrace with barbecue that belongs exclusively to this studio. Although less private, there is plenty of sunlight to lie down and just sunbathe. Cidalia is a great hostess and immediately made me feel at home. I was really happy to have been welcomed like was, considering that there were other guests at the property, who were behaving in the worst possible way. I cannot believe how patient she was. They broke things; their dog attacked the house cat; and if you believe it the dog was not walked outside the property once in three days. People should have a pet license, honestly. In fact, these guests almost made me give up on the whole stay. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is an excellent place to go. However, if you want to have loud parties, non-stopping barking dogs around, and be yelling and whatnot, perhaps this is not the place for you. At least during the night they were quiet. Phew! The studio is rustic with some modern features, clean linen and towels are provided. The hostess was even able to provide me with coffee, as I had forgotten to buy beforehand (being Sunday, everything was closed, so I was really happy about it). I would change one thing in this studio: the curtains would have to be darker, in order to sleep better at night. I found a solution, as I always do; when travelling, I always know that this may be an issue for me, so I am always prepared. The heating worked wonderfully and the shower was great. Again, in two, the second person would have had to wait 15 minutes after my shower, as the boiler is small. There is a shared yet lovely small pool and you can sun bathe the whole afternoon. The parking space inside is limited to 5 cars and it should be enough if people park properly. You can also park outside – the danger is quite minimal in this area. The property is close to wonderful beaches: Praia da Adraga, 2-3 minutes; Praia Grande, 5 minutes; Praia das Maças 10-12 minutes – time distance by car. Be careful, as the ocean here is quite dangerous at times. What else? Thank you once again for the hospitality, Cidalia and Margarida, for making me feel really welcome, helping out in every possible way, for trusting me into your home. I loved the experience so much that I have booked again for the near future!
