Residencial Antunes

This is by far the best accommodation among the 5 we have used so far in Portugal. In detail: 1. Our room was very large, with more beds and more room than we could use. 2. The hotel is on a main road but our room was very quiet, as we had requested; actually, we had initially been assigned another room, but as soon as we wrote that silence for us is important, they offered this larger room, without asking for any additional charge. 3. The structure looks ancient ("vintage"); but having been very well kept, it is more fascinating than many modern accommodations 4. The staff was always kind and friendly 5. From the hotel, you can reach the University (main tourist attraction in Coimbra), walking for just 10 minutes 6. Last but not least, they accept credit cards, while most low-cost structures in Portugal only want cash
