This family owned business is perfect for travelers who want a perfect location. The atmosphere is great for meeting people from unknown. The rooms are clean. I stayed in a room with a nice balcony. The breakfast is laid out with bread, ham, cheese, yogurt, fruit, cookies juices, milk, etc. The property has a nice swimming pool and garden area with fruit trees including banana and lemon. There are several lounge chairs for relaxing. The bathrooms are clean and tidy. Richard and his family are hard working people. He works to maintain the grounds, cleaning the pool daily. I saw him cutting the lawn and pruning trees, thoroughly enjoying the morning. Cascais is a fabulous place. The beaches are what attracted me, and I wasn’t disappointed. Guincho Beach is phenomenal! Rent a bike and head out for the day. There are amazing restaurants overlooking the ocean. Be sure to include a trip along the coast in Cascais. The house is a short walk to a bike/walking path next to the sea. Continue to the Boca do Inferno, an amazing place. Stay on the path to the Cidadela Art District and marina. Walk through the Palacio da Cidadela to see a national treasure. Visit the fortress as well. The Parque is incredible. Trust me. You won’t be disappointed! Cascais is a great place. People are really happy. friendly, and welcoming. On the bike path, you’ll see lots of people exercising. Others walk for the simple pleasure of enjoying the day along the coast. The place is magnificent. Crime is essentially nonexistent. I walked from the train station a few times and never felt uncomfortable. I highly recommend visiting this hotel and using it as a base to explore the area. There is much to see and do within a short distance, and the pool area is perfect for lazy days.
