Atlantic Side

We have just returned from Atlantic side apartments the room was very clean on arrival and the very clean towels were changed mid week. Yes there is building work going on next door but they don't start work until 08.00 and finish at 17.00 they also don't work weekends however the noise didn't stop us from sitting on our balcony most afternoons. The reception staff and night guard are very pleasant if spoken to correctly we didn't have any problems with either especially the light haired lady who offered us a kettle on our arrival because we took the time to speak to her and asked about the local area. The apartments are only a 1 minute walk to the beach and there are 2 snack bars on the way the best for us was the smiley food a Romanian couple who run a chicken kebab snack bar the couple are lovely and the food is very nice they open for lunch then close then they are open from 18.30 until midnight we never cooked in the apartment as other people have said the utensils are very sparse but enough to have snacks, we used the cooker grill to do toast if we fancied. The immediate area is filled with bars and restaurants we ate out every night and only ate at the same place twice you need to take the little train around the area as it's the only place where you can get some shade in the hot afternoons. We went down to the beach at 07.00 most mornings and the sea was warm enough to walk in without taking your breath away a lovely walk without all the people that are down there through the day. I also recomend you try pedro's bar and snacks down at the bottom of the town really good snacks and cold beer.
