Lagos Uptown Bed & Breakfast

Everything was perfect, to the point that we are already discussing returning next year. I was curious about the negative reviews so I-reread them today while waiting for our flight. They are mostly about checking in after hours. Uptown is an intimate guest house, not a hotel. As such, someone is not available 24/7. I felt that was made clear when I read about this guest house, This is what we experienced. The room was spotless, comfortable and with a view of the water.We had the same people serving breakfast and cleaning each day, they even remembered our preferred coffee each morning. The breakfast was fabulous: nice variety of fruit, traditional pastries, breads, meats, cheese, yogurt, cereal all served on a patio with water views. I also don’t understand the negative reviews regarding Fernando. He spent a lot of time answering guests questions each morning. He was friendly and very helpful. The women who clean and serve breakfast were always smiling. The location is perfect with an easy walk to downtown, yet back enough to be quiet. My advise is to ignore the negative reviews and book here!
