31 reviewsQuinta de Malmedra is a stunning hotel located in idyllic, rural surroundings. On arrival, my husband and I were given the suite room, which was really spacious and overlooked the outdoor pool with a magnificent view of the castle on the hill. I won't spoil it by telling you but the view at night is quite special. The owners of the hotel, Manuela and Manuel were charming, friendly, warm and extremely professional. Nothing was too much trouble from offering us suggestions about the local area, to making us scrambled eggs before a long journey and to providing us with a kettle. Breakfast was great and served by two welcoming and cheerful ladies. It was so nice to be offered the option of a late breakfast time without the pressure of having to get up early on holiday. The facilities are extensive as there is also a play area for children surrounded by pretty plants, which doesn't infringe on the pool area, a gym and a games room with a pool table and a cinema screen. This is a really lovely place to stay and we were so pleased to find it by chance. Santiago do Cacem is full of great restaurants, not far from the Roman ruins in Mirobriga and a short drive away from some gorgeous beaches. We thoroughly recommend it!
