Marina Albufeira by Garvetur

We visited the marina apartments end of May 21 to 3 June. First of all we were met by an arranged transfer from faro Airport which was much cheaper than Uber. When we arrived to the apartment yoh will either love or hate the funky building paint designs. I liked it. Pedro met us at the apartment to give us our key. He ran through a couple of things and left us to it. In the living room / dining area it is spacious. The verander overlooks the marina and it has a reasonable sized TV plus aewallg comfortable sofa bed.the air con is perfect. Next is the bedroom, a nice sizeable bed and the patio doors show the marina too. Ideal view if hungover. The patio doors have an electric shutter which blocks out all light and keeps the room cooler. However the air con is fabulous if required. There is ample wardrobe space. The kitchen has a washing machine and dishwasher which were used a lot. My only regret is bringing too many clothes not realising there would be a washing machine so I could have done with less clothes in my cases. The bathroom was nice with a bath and shower plus a b day. Location wise, ideal. I have been to albufeira before in 2004 for the euros and stayed nearer to the strip. This place is in the marina, nice boats to look at, peaceful now because bars shut at 10.30 but if you have windows and shutter closed with air con on you won't hear any of the singers in the bars. There are many restaurants below which are decent and some nice food. Plus a Spar which sells large san Miguel's on draught for €1.50. The amazing beaches are very close by too. All in all I cannot fault this place whatsoever. The host is on call all the time for any queries, the apartment outstanding and great location. Definitely recommend to anyone.
