Willa Izydor

The place itself is immaculate, the view from the Willa is outstandingly beautiful and the Pensionat (it’s not a Hotel) is very clean both inside and outside. It has a decent children's playroom on the top floor and a sandpit/slide and seesaw with a field where they can play . Note though that the see saw is very unsafe it was on a slope and even an 8 year old was causing it to buckle badly. The rooms are clean when you arrive but then not cleaned at all for the rest of the stay. There is a small reception which is unmanned, the staff when we saw them were friendly but quiet. We went half board, the breakfasts are buffet and were OK but the Dinners were not good. There was no menu, no preordering or options you were given what was prepared so every night was a surprise. Usually it was a soup which was good but the main course was always a stew in different sauces which no one liked (there were Polish people in our group who all said it was disappointing ). You were given compote but not water and there were no children's meals. There were no soft drinks available to drink to buy or any alcohol - even though they had a collection of beer glasses above the reception. They were missing a trick as we would have all bought drinks on site, especially as it was so hot when we went we would have bought a lot of water from them. The place is scenic and quiet .It is a good 5 miles from Zakopane City Centre, the nearest shop Zabka is 15 mins walk away. A taxi fare there irrespective of no of people is £15.00 equivalent and some drivers tried to charge us more but we always haggled them down
