Villa Jesion

Our family went to Poronin for the festive break 2018. Apparently Zakopane is the place to be on New Years Eve!! Hotel was clean and we had 2 large rooms on the 1st floor of the main building. The room had kettle and fridge which was useful after a days skiing. The local slopes were not too crowded and the therm baths were not to far away so the Pensionate was ideal for location. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices but they did not do lunch or evening meals (As this is not a hotel was the answer to the question). They also only changed the towels if requested and seemed shocked as we asked each day for them to be changed due to using them at the therms spa and showering. The floor also had a kids room with a large TV and activities. A lovely stay, would highly recommend and super breakfast and also made rolls for snack on the slopes. Friendly staff, large car park cleared of snow each morning. Negative was slow internet. Not so cheap for a B&B. Zakepane was not the place to be for New Year with a family. Thousands of people, Broken glass bottles and slippery surface with fireworks being let of in the crowd randomly. Stick to the town area if anything happened at the festival there would be a massive issue on safety. Too many people, uncontrolled areas and drunken youths caused us not to stay for the festivities, we went back to hotel to watch on TV after evening meal in the centre.
