This is a long story so I hope you're sitting comfortably. I'm going to be as honest as can be then you can make up your own mind who was in the wrong here.

Myself and two friends arrived at LuckaStay on a hot September afternoon. Very tired. Very hungover. After a lot of elevator riding, we finally found the reception in a random apartment on the 11th floor. We signed a waiver detailing the house rules:
No drinking in the dorms.
No smoking in the dorms.
No bringing people back to the hostel.
Clean up any mess you make.
No noise between 22:00 and 06:00.

Fair enough.

The hostel can be found on the 5th floor. The first thing that caught my attention was the intrusive CCTV camera aimed straight into the kitchen reminiscent of a famous social experiment which went horribly wrong. Relieved to have found our home for the next few days, I went to dump my pack on my bed. To my surprise, a snoring guest sprawled out on my bed which was littered with his belongings. We headed to the balcony for a smoke (where an ash tray was provided and another guest was sat having a cigarette) and one of my friends jumped in the shower. The ice cold shower. 

After some 30 minutes of being in Lucka Stay, I'd seen enough. I tried to call reception from the in house telephone (not working). Fatigued as I was I rode the elevator back up to the 11th floor. Informed them of our issues and (very politely) requested a refund so we could head elsewhere. They refused a refund but told me to sleep in a different bed (they gave me a new bed number to sleep in) gave me a key for an operation shower on the 9th floor. Being the reasonable and resilient Brits we are, we decided to make the best of a bad situation.

6 floors down to grab my towel, 3 floors up to get my shower, 3 floors down to get back to the hostel. Pain in the a**.

By this point, another guest had bought some vodka and snacks and invited us to drink with him. How could we refuse? An hour or so later, 70% of the guests are drinking alcohol, smoking on the balcony, we're playing music and there is a good atmosphere. Maybe this won't be too bad. 

21:55 music goes off, one of my friends goes to sleep myself and my other friend head out for a walk in Warsaw. Admittedly the night took us to a strange place, too many units of alcohol later we return to the hostel at 06:45 (ish). 

I woke the next day to a Polish woman screaming in my face as I was asleep in her bed. I jump out of bed to get some water when one of my friends in drinking vodka with the same Russian guy who brought in the vodka and snacks the night before. At some point down the line he decided to squirt sauce all over the kitchen table and start smearing into the table with his hands (which was pretty bizarre). 

I headed up for another shower to prepare for the day ahead. When I go back down to the hostel there are three new guests that have arrived (without enough beds left in the hostel) and my friends tell me that we have been kicked out.

Back up to the 11th floor. I asked for an explanation. I was told that we had broken the rules, they had pictures to prove it and we needed to leave. I insisted that if the pictures are from the CCTV camera then they must see that it was this Russian guy that had broken the rules, other than drinking in the hostel, which everyone else was doing anyway!

An argument followed, she threatened to call the Police. Words were said. We left.

In my opinion, we were singled out as the only three British travellers in the hostel and they needed three extra beds for the new guests. Yes we partied, but we were far from disrespectful and abided all of the house rules. 

The worst part of the story is that we lost a day in Warsaw messing around booking other hostels which ended up being closed when we arrived at them (but that's another story).

We would have literally have been better off sleeping in the park, so thanks for robbing and slandering us guys.
