Villa Targowa

I spent two nights at Villa Targowa when I visited Poznan for a business trip. It's a very cozy and nice place. The owners are sweet and helpful and absolutely not problematic, which can be an issue with bed&breakfast. This one was fabulous and also in a quiet part of the city, not far away from the train station, which is always a plus for someone without a car. :)

Great value for a short business stay!

This three room B&B is located on the third floor of a family residence about 20 minutes walking distance outside the city center. There is a tram (#8) about 7 minutes walking distance away that you can take into the city center. Doesn't take long. You have to buy a ticket at the kiosk before boarding. A one way ticket is 2.60 zloty. 

Everything about this B&B was pretty basic except for the breakfast. Which was amazing. For 10 zloty you get an incredible amount of delicious Polish cheese, bread and vegetables (I'm a vegetarian), eggs, etc...

The room was clean and spacious and the area quiet. The TV had a few English channels. The wifi signal was poor. I had problems staying connected to the network through out my stay.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable making for long restless nights. I almost changed hotels after the first night. Sleep is very important to me!

The proprietors seemed nice enough. I had very little contact with them during my stay. They didn't have any maps or information available to give me when I checked in which was annoying. Tourist Information in the Old Square provides maps/info for free.
