This was our first stay in Poland dyer almost two weeks in Ukraine. It is only a short walk from the bus station. 
It is really well located. With Old town right at your footsteps and mid town. The hostel itself is clean. The bedroom was big with comfy beds. the staff were helpful. The only two complaints I have got is that the kitchen area we had had no sink and the bathrooms could have done with paper towels or at least something to dry your hands.

Decent hostel, brilliantly located

A nice hostel in a perfect location. It was very silent, clean and the staff very friendly. First hostel experience and I don’t regret it. They offer a 24 hours reception. A good place to spend your days in Lublin  

Good hostel directly in the city center

The room was really nice- clean and comfortable and it even had a little balcony. There was a nice little lounge with TV and kitchenette with fridge and microwave (but no oven). The bathroom facilities were good. Location was also good. I just found it annoying that they advertise washing facilities for 20 zloty but actually they don't have these facilities- they tell you to take it to the Folk Hostel, which I did. They also claim to do a breakfast for 12 zloty, but when asking they direct you to a cafe round the corner.

Advertise facilities they do not have

Hostel Krolewska was difficult to find at first, as the map on HostelWorld has it situated slightly further down the road and on the other side. In reality, it is only a few doors down from the old city gate by the Jewish memorial. Centrally located on the edge of the old town and also opposite the bus stop for the bus that goes to Majdanek, the place could not have been better for us. The castle and bus station are on the other side of the city centre, but as Lublin is quite small this is not more than a ten minute walk; the train station is quite far from everything anyway.

The hostel was completely deserted when we arrived, aside from the man on the front desk. There were no other guests. Naturally, this felt a bit odd, but it meant that we could return comfortably after a night of drinking, although the girl on the front desk that night was incredibly rude when we came back, even when we apologised for disturbing her (though really, why was she sleeping at the desk?)

The man who was there before was thankfully quite helpful the next day regarding bus routes, so this made up for his colleague's behaviour the previous night. When we returned to he hostel late in the afternoon before dinner, a different girl was on the front desk; when we told her that a pair of ne'er-do-wells were on the street outside harassing guests for money as they came home, she courageously went downstairs to shout at them to leave, cheerily returning a few minutes later!

Overall the hostel was not too bad a place to stay, though the rude attitude on our first night was more than slightly off-putting and unwelcoming, which lets it down somewhat.

Spoiled by one rude staff member

Firstly, it was hugely disappointing to spot 2 palm size blood stains on a pillow which was put in a pillowcase. I didn't notice until the morning when I turned the pillow over. It was a shame to find something like those because I had a nice sleep on the comfy bed. Those stains were dry but I hope they were not infectious. 
With regards positive sides, the hostel located in the centre. The room we were provided was in the other building where I thought it was quiet. The bakery across the road was opened  when we went at about 6:30am. The train station is approx 15 minute bus ride as I remember. The bus stop was across the road.
