This hotel was not in my GPS, nor was its address or village name. The only way that I found it was by GPS coordinates. When I arrived, there was no sign indicating that it was a hotel, just a open gate with a driveway leading to an older mansion on spacious grounds that included a small lake and bridle paths. I went to the door, which was open, and went inside. There was a formal luncheon going on in an adjacent room, but no desk or any appearance of it being a hotel. I stopped the server and asked her if this was the hotel, and she motioned for me to wait. After a few minutes, a young man came up to me, and in broken English, showed me to a room. There was no paperwork, no passport check, nothing. The room was fairly small but with 18 foot ceilings and a nice view of the garden. The bathroom was modern with a large shower. I never saw the young man again. I went out and walked through the grounds - very scenic. A young couple from the luncheon took a carriage ride around the grounds, and everyone from that event left by 6 PM. I basically stayed in my room, but around 9 PM I looked out my room door and could not see another light on in the entire building. The silence was deafening.  To add to the strange feelings, one of the lights in my room began to flicker. I really would not have been surprised if the entire building, myself included, suddenly disappeared into the past in a flash of light, never to be seen again. I did, however, sleep well, but in the morning, at 9:30 AM, when I was ready to check out, I had to call out twice before a woman came to accept my payment for the room. Again, there was no paperwork. It appeared that the building was rented out for formal parties and weddings, and that the hotel business was an afterthought. I don't believe that most single women would be comfortable here, but solo male travelers who just need a place to sleep for the night might consider renting a room. Other than the hotel grounds, this area has nothing of interest to tourists.
