Simple rooms with no AC but very good food and a marvelous ambiance in the bar, reception and dining room. The best thing about the hotel are the streams, mountains, and surrounding hiking trails.The charming town of Lesko is nearby. Recommended if you want something quiet, affordable and off the beaten track.

I was there  last year, staying with my family in the hotel for 4 days. I really enjoyed this place. Great and colorful area  a lot of opportunities for hiking, great food and nice people.
My wife and kids were able to take some horse riding lessons. Everybody was happy. I strongly recommend this place.

A lovely place in the Bieszczady Mountains Quiet, very green, you can rest peacefully. Interesting menu in the restaurant. 
A nice suggestion for a city break. In the vicinity of the hotel there is a horse stud with a covered riding arena. 

If you want to experience the region of Bieszczady this is a good place to stay. It is in a nice and quiet place, has a great atmosphere which corresponds with the Ukrainian cultural influences in the region. I have found it very clean and comfortable and a good base for hiking tours to Bieszczady mountains and to the beautiful towns of Sanok and Krosno. The price was reasonable and the senior staff was very friendly. However - the junior staff DESPERATELY needs some training. They can really put some guests off. I liked what was served for breakfast - quite a few things that you wouldn’t normally find in other hotels. HOWEVER! The way the breakfast was managed was just a total mess. There were never more than 20 guests eating breakfast at the same time and yet the food was delivered with much delay, you had to wait even for glasses, forks or knives. There was this hilarious situation - the jugs with fruit milk shake were empty so I asked the waiter to bring more. When he did it turned out there were no clean glasses left. I asked the waiter for glasses. It was quite a long wait for them during which time I could only helplessly watch other guests coming and refilling their glasses. When the clean glasses arrived I could hardly fill up one of them with what was left. Getting food from the buffet looked more like hunting for food scraps. And these problems were also with food which could be prepared well in advance. TO THE MANAGEMENT: Szanowni Państwo - zróbcie coś z tymi śniadaniami, bo naprawdę zaczniecie tracić klientów. Jeżdżę bardzo dużo po świecie, ale pierwszy raz zdażyło mi się słyszeć tyle narzekań od innych gości przy śniadaniu!!! Szkoda byłoby tak uroczego miejsca.

We visited Chutor Kozacki twice: in September 2013 and in May 2014 and we can truly recommend it to everyone who are looking for peace and quiet. There aren't many tourist attractions in the area - only one hiking route (about 4 hours walk), but views are very impressive. There are also stables where you can hire a horse (we recommend to book it a day before). SPA has very affordable prices, but the offer is not too big and massages which we had were just average. 
The staff is friendly (communicative English, Polish native), but sometimes they are operating a bit to slowly. Rooms are very nice and clean. The cuisine is fine, but in our opinion a bit too expensive. Nice alcohol drinks and fine beer. What makes this hotel special is very silent surroundings: no cars, no loud music, no kids screaming around - just perfect.
We are pretty sure we will visit Chutor once again.

Bieszczady mountains are quite popular but a hotel infrastructure is not very impressive. This is a comfortable and reasonable place to stay. The rooms with bathrooms are OK,, clean and basic. It seems to be popular with families and for weddings. The traditional local food is very tasty. The stuff is very friendly. Good location for those who like light mountain walking, nature and simple, quiet, no nonsense vacations.You can hire a tour guide, bikes or book horse riding. It is a good base for travelling around the region. It has a basic spa but a swimming pool in nearby Lesko is much better option. We had a very good stay there.
