Well...... I don’t know where to start.

I have never been to Poland before.....but after visiting Tarasy Wang, I will return. 

I had the absolute privilege of attending the wedding of my son at the hotel in May 2019. From the moment of arrival until we left we were treated like royalty.

Such dedicated and caring staff, an incredible location with panoramic views, amazing facilities and quite simply a quality location.

The attention to detail for the wedding was spectacular , everywhere was so beautiful. The spa facilities are great and our room was particularly spacious.

Ironing boards on the landing and a kettle was provided on request. 

Clean and tidy rooms, plenty of towels .

We stayed for two nights in this hotel. The hotel is very good. Very friendly and welcoming staff, very good food. There is free spa for hotel guests . I recommend a body massage, it was really good one.

Perfectly located, in vicinity of tourist paths. Good food and huge portions. Excellent breakfasts with plenty of choices. The important asset is very friendly personnel. Big rooms, clean.
Large parking lot, efficient internet connection.

Fabulous Wedding

The food was very average, if slightly better looking than in most of the restaurants in lower Karpacz by the main tourist sites. The interior is OK, nice views, not very crowded, though we waited ages for the waitress to finally notice us. Not many vegetarian options, the menu is pretty standard (pierogi etc) so don't expect gourmet. Definitely overpriced for such basic food. We gave them a second chance since we were feeling lazy and were staying nearby but I don't think we'll return.

Overpriced hotel restaurant

My friend and I ordered żurek which is one of my favorite Polish soups. It was written on the menu that it’s served on a crispy sourdough. The outside was rather tough and they removed so much of the inside that the soup was leaking. 

The soup itself fell short from being called żurek. It wasn’t sour at all. The taste was lacking something of what you would expect from an authentic Polish dish. It was instead a bit sweet. It was warm rather than hot soup.

The place itself was big though not much customers. The restaurant stands few meters away from the famous Wang stave church. The staffs were by the counter but it took time before they waited our table. 

Disappointing meal

Beware, this is ONLY 2-star hotel! 
Falsely advertized online as 3-star, but not true. 
Although use of spa is free for guests, we've had to pay extra for hire or bathrobes and they have huge holes through. Also no slippers available and dificult to find any localy to buy. 
... as explanation, receiption told me this is only 2-star hotel.

Pros: Nice location on hill, beautifully refurbished building with grand interiors.

Cons: Unfortunatelly it seams being neglegted by curent owner/management. 
Although staff is helpfull, everything else is falling apart. 
Half of equipment in spa is not working properly. In our room some light bulbs not working, electric plugs lose of walls, piece of shower fre fallen off, curtan hooks came out of wall, wardrobe door dificult to slide/close, not enough towels available on Saturday when hotel is full. 
Receptionist: blond lady with glasses was not very helpfull, we didn't feel very welcome here.

Restaurant:
Again lovely spacious grand interiors would suggest top class restaurant, but food choice and quality is very basic. 
1st day 2 out of 6 dishes - Chefs specials were not available (No duck, no steaks). 
I've had to ask for seasoning on table and got empty pepper dispenser. 
During dinner my chai has fallen apart ... waiter apologized, sorry but they are very old :) 
Nex day I've opted for supper from buffet. 
But tomato soup, penne bolognese and fish&chips - non of it my favourite choice in restaurant on holiday - bad luck fo me :)) 

Breakfast - 1st day no eggs on buffet, I've had to wait 5 mins for topup. 2nd day again eggs run out and after 5 mins topup was gone within 1minute, so wife had to wait again 5 mins for another topup. That really should'nt happen in any hotel at all, that's sad. 
Kids would like some joghurt with cereals, but there is only cold milk and 2 basic sorts of cornflakes + some seeds & almonds. Also no poridge at all and no orange juice (only apple juice + still tap water). 

So overall, hotel which looks like luxury but with very low level of services. 
I guess nobody complaints much here, or management just doesn't care much ?? 
This could habe beenuch better if someone would check from guests perspective and care for details. 

UPDATE: Day 3 on breakfast buffet again run out of breakfast with usual wait to topup. At least today there was joghurt awailable with cereals.
Dinner at restaurant was disaster. 
Duck was totaly overcooked and grave teribly salty. Wife's penne with spi ach had far to much of the grean sticky paste, which made it look really disqusting and taste too strong. 
Chef please - rather less of flower leaves, but more of ballanced taste and less oveecooking all meats and fish would be huge improvement. 
Waiters and waitress - well th oldest gentleman waiter is very professional and attentive, but most of the jounger staff and parricularly the female waitress have probably no professional training at all, net very atentive, impolite if not rude in language and most of the time no one in restaurant at all for very long time. Often we've had to wait more than 15 mins for someone to appear, just like other guest left alone in restaurant without any service at all. 

IMPORTANT UPDATE - SHOWER: 
In our room NO.108 shower temperature is fluctuating wildly at all times between boiling hot and shocking cold! That is not only annoing but very dangerous for our children! 

Children soft play in restaurant - very dirty probably never cleaned and all is falling apart!

Last note to add - although hotel totaly lacks maintenance and all is falling apart, there is also some unfinished bulding work on main stairwell extension with just tempprary fills or polystyrene boards and expanding foam :)

I've worked 22 years in industry from 2* to 5* hotels acros world, so I cannot help not to compare :)Show less

Posh looking interiors, but overpriced very poor basic services

Very expensive coffee - double espresso 12 PLN which is way more than usually in poland (usually around 8) and the coffee had bad taste. I would also not recommend the polish pierogi served there for 13 PLN - not fresh, probably defrost
