The staff were very friendly and the included breakfast was pretty nice, though they didn't always get the orders quite right.

They offer a good price for the tour around Bohol, we bargained hard with another driver for only a small saving, so might as well have booked through the hotel.

Walking distance to a few restaurants and the town centre and the ferry port.

Room was comfortable and clean, though a little noisy as we were on the road side.

We stayed here for three nights, and thought it was good value. The rooms are priced well. We had a double deluxe and parents had the slightly bigger queen deluxe. 

The room was clean and comfortable, with AC and a TV. Rooms are on the first floor, and ours was facing the street. You get a bit of street noise in the morning, but nothing problematic. The road is not very busy, and is quiet at night. 

The location was good for us. We walked here in ten minutes or so from the port, and took a ten minute tricycle to the bus terminal when we left. We walked everywhere else comfortably, and found places to eat within walking distance.

The shower was a bit weak, but has hot water and the bathroom was clean. Each day the staff asked if we would like the room cleaned. 

Breakfast is very good, when you consider the price. I liked the pancakes with mango and syrup, and a choice of fruit juice. My partner liked the fish and rice dish. 

The WiFi worked generally well. Each member of staff we spoke to was courteous, friendly, helpful and professional. I was impressed by their level of service. 

I recommend this hotel if you want a comfortable, good value place to stay in Tagbilaran.

I now live in Tagbilaran but still visit the El Portal Inn on a regular basis. In fact, I stay here when there is a brownout. The El Portal has a very reliable generator, water supply, and abundance of attention to their guests. THANKS EL PORTAL INN STAFF.

I used to stayed in this hotel for more than 4 times . I booked Deluxe room everytime I went to Tagbilaran. It was nice room and facing in the main road, clean toilet during my stayed last year March and May 2016. Since , I am a new member in TripAdvisior.com. I wanna write my review the last time I`ve stayed at El Portal Inn , last September 8-9 2017. 
Day1  Standard room double-no window,no shampoo, they provide soap and towel.Staffs forgot to clean up the garbage box,toilet a little bit dirty.
Day2- Moved to Deluxe family room-Clean room, no window , it was clean room.
Location - walking distance to Marcela Mall,restaurants, 5-10 mins to BQ, and Alturas mall by Tricycle. less than 10 mins to Tag. Airport , Tag Port.Location is great.Staffs are nice.

I always enjoy coming back...

We visited here last May 2018 and we are 8 people. We had 3 separate rooms. Rooms are small with private hot and cold shower. The mattress is really good but the air-conditioner is too or very very noisy. All our rooms have very noisy aircon. We asked the reception about it but all rooms are just the same. Not comfortable to sleep. You cannot hear the noise of vehicles outside but the aircon seems like theres a big old machine next to you. Terrible old aircon, they should replace this really. They dont have lift so its not convenient if you have big luggage with you. The location though is good since its close to the port and public transportation are accessible. Market is also walking distance.
