El Paso Inn

We went here for as a walk in guest and snagged a 4 pax bedroom for only P2,500. Plus, the room is spacious despite the two queen sized beds. 

Bathroom has a bidet and a hot shower (it's just hard to control the warmth of the water)

They also provide towels per person and toiletries per person. 

All in all, it's a good price for the room given it's in Tagaytay.

We didn't book a hotel when we went to Tagaytay, we were only going to stay for 1 night as we were going to Lake Taal to trek the volcano.

We were a little apprehensive when we got to the hotel, but the room was fantastic! Clean bed, clean towels and clean bathroom. 

There was aircon and wifi which my boyfriend was very happy about. 

The staff spoke little English,  but we were with my tagalog speaking family so the language barrier wasn't such an issue for us.

Good price for a very spacious room!

Great Cheap Hotel

If you are looking for a place just to sleep in Tagaytay, El Paso Inn is just a fair place to sleep over. They have clean bed sheets and towels. They also have a kitchen where guests can cook and keep food in the ref. It's like a simple vacation house in the province. Nothing posh but clean enough.
They also have free wifi at the receiving area. Though Globe Tattoo signal in the area sucks!

Good Enough For A Budget Trip

My boyfriend and I went out of town for our usual pre-christmas get away. Tagaytay is our favorite place, however, not being so techy that time plus the fact that we dont believe in planning ahead for the fun of it, we did not make early accommodations.

So just for the adventure, we went to Tagaytay rather late. It was a peak season during that time and all decent looking hotels we've been to are fully occupied. It was late and were too hungry that is why, we gamble going inside El Paso Inn. That time we arrived, the Inn was poorly lighted, it was past 8 p.m. 

Although I know that the Inn must have once been beautiful, but I think due to poor or lack of maintenance it looked otherwise.

We called at the admin room several times,but no one answers. After several minutes, a man, who looked as if he just came-out-of-bed, greeted us. We checked in and led us to our room, the room looks just fine, until we sat on the bed, beddings were a bit itchy. 

OC as I am, I checked on the bathroom and found a green bathtub. When I looked at it closely, I screamed, why, there's a caterpillar or whatever you may call a similar looking creature crawling in it. When I asked the attendant about it, he just shrug it off saying in tagalog, there are lots of trees around and that explains why there is a crawling creature in the bath tub. 

The next morning, I was barely able to bath.

A Trip to Remember

This place is awful! The bed, floor, bathroom and tables were all dirty! We can even see exposed sewage pipes at the top of the bathroom ceiling. The place stinks! The sink faucets were covered by rust! It was so dirty that we told them to change the bed sheets and clean the bathroom. It appears they havent been cleaned at all nor linens replaced after the previous customers! Hair and grime were everywhere. The bed cover and pillow cases had bodily fluid marks! Eww!  As it was already late and the room was fully paid for, we didnt have any choice but stay there for the night. My mom could not go to sleep so she just sat on the chair.
