Fantastic
14 reviewsThat review is a 4.25 but since I'm still feeling a Boracay hangover, I'll round up. I stayed here with some colleagues over the weekend and I really appreciated it. The luxury is understated. The rooms and bathroom are aesthetically pleasing. Water pressure is great for washing beach detritus off. Airconditioning is great. It's both easy and hard to locate, I'll explain that later. About the beds: there were four of us in the room and I stayed in the lower bunk of a bunk bed. The cushion on the softer side of firm - just how I prefer it. A lot of pillows, also the right softness. My only small issue about the beds were that the lower bunks tend to get too dark because of the room's low ambient lighting, but it's nothing a small reading lamp would do wonders for. That said, that's the most gorgeous sleep I've ever had on a bunk bed, ever. Here's the .75 I deducted: wifi was not available in our room. I saw the router at the reception desk at the hallway, but I'm mildly convinced that the wifi signal only reached the room in front of the front desk. It looks like we came at a bad time, however. Road repairs were full tilt during our stay. On our first day, in fact, the entire building was vibrating with the heavy equipment. But I'm not taking that away from them. The repair works were probably part of the reason, too, why it was a bit difficult to spot their signage. That aside, on a normal day, I still think that spotting that little sign on that small alleyway along the main road is a tough order. Anyway, what makes it easier to spot is the fact that it is located just across the road from a couple of Boracay institutions: Obama Grill and Club Paraw. That should make it much easier to spot. Location was convenient, it's beside a couple of budget eateries and a well-stocked convenience store. Just cross the road and a small alley and you're on the sand already.
